*CORRECTION:* Ford's 3.5L EcoBoost specs are actually 400 Hp and 500 Lb-ft for 2021, when I filmed this I was reading an older Ford technical spec sheet, my mistake! And the towing and payload are 13,100lbs* and 2,300 lbs respectively. *This does not change the outcome of the video though, Chevy is still ahead in Horsepower and Towing while Ford leads in Torque and Payload!*

Also should be noted the term “max payload” is pretty meaningless.. this takes into account a very certain configuration with zero options.. a better comparison would have been to look at the actual payload sticker on the inside door panel of the two trucks.

Both are amazing trucks, drove them both as I was test driving. I took the 2021 chevy silverado z71 rst crew cab with standard size bed. If y'all like Ford, go for it, if y'all like chevy go for it ad well and it's all about the preferences. The only reason why I don't like Ford is that you have to change the gear on the floor instead of behind the steering wheel and I know it's optional, that's just me.

I personally like the F-150s front better because I like the design of the headlights. While the Silverado’s does look more aggressive I’m not a fan of the bow tie like design. I've heard a lot of people claiming there is a rust issue with F150's, does it apply to the older F150's only? I'm in UT where we salt the roads in winter and my 2020 F150 is still relatively rust free underneath, only tiny little bit of surface rust here and there, like you'd expect to see under ANY vehicle, but even then, it was barely any at all. I was laying underneath it for 45 min a couple nights ago replacing the horrible felt splash guard with a real skid plate, so I had plenty of time to inspect it, and everything looks pretty pristine under there.

F150's with the 3.5L now have 400hp and 500 ft-lbs of torque and can tow (up-to) 14,000 lbs. You mentioned the F150 is super smooth and "car-like" but you didn't tell everyone how quiet it is. It's the quietest and smoothest truck on the market. Some testers are reporting 61db's, that's amazingly quiet. I've honestly never heard anyone say they actually wanted a rough and noisy ride from a $60k truck but whatever. There are only two faults I see with the F150, one is the "average" fuel mileage isn't great, for a little V-6 it can really burn fuel if you drive it even the least bit hard, and the other fault is the sticker price. New trucks are way overpriced IMHO. js

I think the reason the sticker is higher on this video ( and he forgot to mention or maybe check) is the interior trim is the HIGH pkg. which is what gives it the heated gadgets and the real nice running lights he mentions. Mid and entry pkg. don't have these. Canadian value on option I think is about 6K.

I used to work at a Ford dealer selling Fords mostly F-150s. I have a 2019 and love it. I’m now working for a Chevy Buick GMC dealer and this is going to be my biggest hurdle is selling trucks I know I don’t like 🤣. Fords truly are better trucks there is no doubt BUT you pay for it as well with them being the most expensive so there’s give and take. I do love the torque and the 17mpg I get compared to the other trucks

You have to re-do the engine specs part, as soon as I saw it I said this is unbelievable! I get a little mistake but this was a huge one. Long story short that big 6.2 can't keep up with the EcoBeast 💪. Silverado is good looking but it's time for a new engine lineup, that 5.3 already served its year and it's archaic and have anemic numbers

  • @AlphaShark

Nope I unfortunately can’t change it now, I have a correcting comment pinned for this video. The Specs do not change what I said in the video, Silverado is still better in some areas and F-150 is better in others. Just because the numbers are off doesn’t change which one is better.

You know to be honest the way I drive I’m sure I’d been just as happy with the Chevy and honestly think it’s a great looking truck, I’m not sure either truck is a bad buy, the Aluminum body doesn’t rust, but bang it up and it’ll cost you.

It was Chevy or nothing but…….. 1: wanted the Duramax but their 100-150k oil pump belt replacement (40+ hrs labor) scares me even if I sell it before then… resale 2: transmission. Felt all the engines were hunting for gears. Didn’t drive the 6.2. But If I have to use premium I’m going to get a diesel. 3. Comfort and tech. No comparison Out of anger I went by the ford dealer next door. Went with a f150 lariat. Just the second you sit in one it feels like you went up a level. more features then gmc comps. comfortable seat, huge screen, insanely smooth Trans, comfortable ride, felt light and nimble…. Anyway both great trucks but I’m a convert now. All I will say is drive both. 1: even in 23 supply was limited at the three dealers in the area🎉
