Thanks for the wonderful review. I have a question regarding human tracking, does the camera goes back to its original position after the person disappeared? If i understand, the detection is based on what appears on the camera lens view and not like PIR cameras? Thanks

Very good review,I saw this camera while looking for a camera with 4g ,and this brand together with Eufy has good Wi-Fi cameras (I own a couple of them).I want to try it .Thanks for a depth and informative review,I am very much persuaded by your review to get one for myself. Friends of ours had their six week old Range Rover stolen off their drive a couple of months ago. Despite being covered by two wifi cameras (told them they should have stumped up for PoE/hardwired stuff) but they got absolutely no footage. The Police reckoned the thieves might have used some kind of wifi jammer to overwhelm the cameras wifi connection. One of these might well have given them some footage to cry over and give to the Daily Fail.

Yes WiFi jammers are less than £20 on Amazon/eBay. Not sure about 4G blockers but less common as a camera I guess therefore unlikely to be carrying that type of blocker so wired or this are probably good alternatives.

Typically battery powered security cameras use PIR motion sensor to trigger recording, but Ezviz specs never mention PIR and as I've heard they have much wider motion detection range than cameras with ordinary PIR trigger. I wonder how it's achieved while preserving good battery life.

can you confirm il be able to use this on stealth mode as i will fix the camera at a low height like yourself in the review, so i don’t want would be intruders to notice the spotlight, the little red dot type light on front lens and will i be able to disable the speaker ? as if it’s noticed by unwanted intruders they will be able to reach it, i’m also thinking of hiding it in some box type only exposing the lens, any advice please?

Hello! Can you disable the flashing spotlight? I know it will not flash if the color night vision mode is activated but Is there an option to turn it off altogether? Thanks!

If I remember correctly you can turn it off in the motion detection settings part of the app.

Considering this product for use around our farm. Wanting to understand how sensitive it is to picking up HUMAN movement as opposed to animals, plants, etc and is there any specifications that indicate the amount of data it would utilise/transfer? We are in a 4G area but during power outages this may drop - I understand that the camera will keep filming to the SD card but would I receive notifications?

The data usage is actually in the video along with other stats. If 4G goes down you won't receive notifications as there is no way for it to communicate to you

If someone cut the wifi connection, does this wireless camera still recording any event of activity during wifi offline? Memory card storing offline record? Or it must must wifi connection?

Hello . i cound't undertand about notifications. if someone stole the camera ,will you receive some foto or email from motion detected or after the camera it's off you can't acess to it anymore and you don't know who stole it?

Yes you'll get a notification you also have the option to store data in the ezviz cloud so if someone takes the camera you'll not lose footage.

There are a number of options available to turn off the led and the lights, not sure about the red dots though
