Bro!!!! This fixed my cart!!!! You da man!!! I can't even tell you how many other things I've tried - so happy I found this video!!! Thank you!!!!

Well after much research because my brakes locked up I came across this video. I found the plug just like in this video and unplugged it. I didn’t cut it out just yet all I did was insert a small screwdriver into the pins slot so that they would expand and make better contact. I also put the cart in neutral and tow and it moved well. Brakes are no longer locked up and no more burning smell but still am amazed at why they would wire a circuit with this jumper. Great job to you for finding this and letting us know. Not to confident that the screwdriver trick will last long so I may be soldering soon. Thanks again for posting this

Having issues with the parking brake engaging and holding the cart while in park. Brake works fine for stopping. Do you think this jumper could cause that as well? Thank you.

thanks for the video. I know this is old, but do you know what the two unused wires are for in the area of your plug?

My wiring is different colors. I have a 2013 RXV. The green jumper would be 2 red wires and the red jumper would be a black and black with white tracer. I'm assuming it's the same concept and the colors don't matter. What are your thoughts?

Our RXV is a 48v and has a burning smell when we drive it... could this possibly be the problem ( the smell smells like burning brakes)

Few questions? How did this work out for you and did you disconnect the main battery while doing all this or just have the key off? Last but not least, whatever you need the cart diagnosed, isn't this where they plug their scanner into?

Well it's been over 10 months now since I did this repair. I have had zero brake issues. The plug in my understanding is hidden under the cup holder for the express purpose of disabling the cart. These carts being designed for golf courses it is my understanding that they may want to take a cart out of service for maintenance and be able to quickly disable it. Your average golfer or kid wanting to take a joyride on the cart wouldn't know to put a plug back in there in order to reactivate the cart. That would all be well and good if they had used an appropriate connector under there that was not subject to corrosion from moisture. As far as diagnostics go I don't believe this is a diagnostic port. Thanks for taking the time to respond to my video and I hope it has been some help to you.

I drive a little and then it stops. I release pedal and I can go about 20ft and does it again and I smell something burning. Is this the fix to try?

Did your cart stop clicking into "park" when the key was turned off? Mine won't click in anymore and the other day my brake seized just like yours.
