As a temple worker I love the Book of Ezekiel and I really appreciated your discussion. Elder Renlund gave a wonderful talk about Ezekiel 47 and how the fulfillment of that prophecy relates to temple work. You might consider adding a link to his talk Family History and Temple Work: Sealing and Healing from the April 2018 General Conference in your show notes.

I love stories with pictures, but have not looked forward to figureing out symbolism in Scripture. I'm thankful to know this isn't unusual even a member of This Church. I do enjoy having knowledgeable, inspired people talk about symbolic Scriptures & feel more comfortable with these Scriptures now. I also feel it's important to gain personal insights & inspiration. As we study The Gospel, we get better & more confident - special when we realize the message is consistent - The Lord loves us & Atoned for us & is helping us to come home to Him. He wants us to repent. How beautiful & loving this message is, heart warming. When I share these lessons by email with my grown children, I add a little symbolism I was happy to discover : 🌎🌈🌞😇

Some how I feel amazed when I remember that, only those who excepted the Savior have been able to have this earth experience, how then can it be so hard to choose the right. So I remind myself - this is a learning experience and a test to see if we will choose The Lord and be obedient. We lost our memory. Yet The Lord is here for us. Isn't it interesting that The Lord speaks to us in so many ways and really wants us to choose to come home to him - how many people have written songs about rainbows and stars as a way to reach a happy place and how many people love those songs?

Absolutely true with regard to pining unrequited love. I know a single adult who's still inlove with a woman in his early 20s, who got married and had 4 kids, she's extremely happy in her marriage, meanwhile this priesthood pines after her and he's now mid 50s. He's missed out on opportunities for marriage because of it... what a loss to the opportunities he could have had.
