Can you use foot pump if inflate no longer works

this one doesn't have any extra valves for manual inflate I don't think.

Do you know if you can buy an aftermarket external pump if the internal pump stops working?

there is a hole where the valve selector is that you should be able to put a pump into, I haven't tried that or needed to though.

Does it need to be plugged in through out the use?

nope, you can fill it up, cap it off and good to go.

My question is what happens when a pin dameges it

they come with a repair kit or you can get a vinyl repair kit and fix it ok
