Key point: matte concealer to prep eyelids. If you use a creamy concealer that is not matte, you will have to set it with (translucent) setting powder, otherwise it would crease up and your eyeshadow wont look smooth and flat.

You are so well spoken. You explained the product and the reason for it very well. For someone like me who doesn't really know anything about makeup but has recently become interested in it, I was able to follow along and understand the reasons why my previous makeup attempts didn't quite work. I don't really like the "full beat/baked" look and rather a more natural look so this was very helpful-nothing too dramatic. Thank you, I was able to follow and 'mimic' to achieve the look I wanted.

I've come back to this tutorial like 9 times. Every time I want to do an eye look for a special occasion I come back for these basics - you're a wonderful teacher!

One of BEST I've seen - so so helpful with the brushes, sizes, shapes, reasons, SLOW, and steady application and explanations. THANK YOU SO SO MUCH!!! This is totally doable and I can't wait to try it. Eyeshadow / winged look is my Achilles heel - and you've made this actually doable.

This is truly one OF THE MOST detailed eyeshadow tutorial I have seen here on UTube. Not only did you explain which concealer or primer to use but you explained which brushes to use and why you are using them. And exactly where to place you shadows. You did an amazing job and by the way your makeup is flawless. Thanks for sharing. I am going to add this to my play list and so I can practice. Oh by the way how do you know what colors to use that will look great on your skin tone or does that even matter.

This was a great tutorial for me, I've been trying to get the right transition shade for my skin tone and many pallette brown color shades don't show up on my skin since I'm South Asian. But the way you described a couple shades darker got me the right brown for my skin tone.

I’ve never been good at makeup but I must say, this is the best tutorial! Being a beginner, you did a beautiful job explaining how each brush, shadow, and element of the eye works in harmony. Thank you so much for this!!
