Hey there! I'm a microbiologist and just wanted to give my humble thoughts on your mold issues. The climate contributes but it isn't the cause, nor is the formula of the palettes to a degree. I can speak from experience as a make-up hoarder in a hot and humid climate with no AC and never had mold on palettes even after 5+ years (and I use my fingers too, even on my Nomad palettes and I have the same ones). The mold has to be introduced from existing spores in the environment, so something you are doing is introducing the mold (from the air or on your hands, etc.) I recommend grtting rid of any palettes with mold and finding the source of the mold because if that isn't eliminate, it'll keep spreading and coming back. The alcohol treatment isn't going to do the trick to completely get rid of it unfortunately - that works better for maintenance and to prevent growth in clean palettes. Toss any palette thst ever had mold and don't save shades that look safe because they'll contaminate the rest of your collection. There may me mold in the floors or walls in your room. Please check your windowsills for moisture and the like. I worry for your health if your palettes are growing mold that frequently. It isn't your fault, don't worry, but you need to take extra steps if you want the issue to stop.

I would toss that palette. I personally wouldn’t pop out the shades.

If a palette has mold even in one pan the entire palette is contaminated and shouldn’t be used. It could be due to the environment since so many of your palettes are getting mold when they really shouldn’t be.

I wouldn’t keep the palettes that were contaminated with mould. Nothing - not even coloured dust- is worth your health!!

I have every single Nomad pallet and none of them have ever had mold. There must be something in your environment that is causing so many pallets to mold. It sucks about the shipping issues. They are such a great brand and amazing quality. But thank you for the Gloss Gods recommendation. I just placed my first order with them.

That makes a lot of sense. I saw one girl on Instagram that puts her pallets in clear containers with a thimble of salt in the corner of each container. She said it helps absorb moisture. @@GabriellaFrances

Great job and beautiful collection. I’ve never had mold in a shadow but like you mentioned before we do have air conditioners here and my room where I keep my makeup is temp controlled all year. Such a shame.

Me, too! I tell my husband to put on a hoodie if he’s cold. 😂 It has to be room temperature or lower upstairs, which means it’s colder down here.

It's up to you how you do it, but I would declutter the Colourpop shades a singles and then put them in palettes/ organise colour stories and/or put in an empty magnetic palette. I wouldn't want to put them in their original colour story before deciding.

If you live in an area that’s very humid I was wondering if that could be a reason for the mold…maybe keeping a de-humidifier where you store your makeup might help? 😊

Yes, I use a dehumidifier 🫣 I’m hoping to figure it out in the next few months so I can prevent other palettes going bad!

Thank you for sharing your palette collection with us. I’m curious if the Makeup Revolution palettes in the UK are the same formula as the ones in the US. The formula is so hard to work with.

MR doesn’t care about producing quality products, they only care about sales. I’d avoid them tbh, there are other brands out there in their price range that have far better products.

I only have the new mod palette from sigma and I love it. Honestly need to use it more. I have heard a lot of people say that their formula is kinda hit or miss a lot.

I really enjoyed seeing your palette collection! Gloss Gods is on my list of brands to try. Such a bummer about the mold 😞

If they get more don’t spray them with Lysol, use a 90% rubbing alcohol, put it in a spray bottle and spray them with rubbing alcohol. You can also take a paper towel spray it with rubbing alcohol, put a rubber band over the bottom of the glass to hold the paper towel on it and rub your pallet with that and it’ll clean off your pallet, smooth and easy.

I ordered the Whats Up palette bundle this week when they did a discount on the bundle. I'm really excited. I really need to do a low buy on palettes next year 🙈 Great collection. Love these types of videos ♥️

You totally miss matched the swatches in the odens eye jewels and gems 😂😂 you swatched the grey first and then the black shimmer and said „see I needed to dig in harder“ 😂 the brand just loves to do topper shades. I think they are cool for daytime looks

I loved seeing your beautiful collection. The Glam Shop and Gloss Gods palettes are STUNNING!! I had to run onto their website (gloss gods) and a lot are sold out. I'll be looking out for a restock! That is so sad about the mold! I would be gutted!! I recently depotted all of my Colourpop 9, 12 and I had a 16 pan palette. I left my quads and mega palettes intact. I bout 2 huge z palettes and put the mattes in one and the shimmers in the other. There are definitely bso many nudes, browns, oranges and I think I have at least 5 wine shades that are all very similar. So I am thinking about frankening some of them with other "duped shades and see what I get. I use a dark brown shadow for my brows so I know that I will have brow shades for years!! 🤣

I want to try Gloss gods! The green looks so amazing💚 I have 4 sigma palettes and the cor de rosa is the "worst", two of the metallics look like the have hard pan😓 it really puts me on using it.

Can we buy Alter Ego somewhere in Europe? Im sick of brands that post only from U.S .Nooo wayyy im from Greece 🇬🇷 don't need all the hussle neither the extra cost 😅 love from Greece 🇬🇷 ❤🎉( and im PISSED we can't get colopop anywhere near i want the superchocks)😂) ( edit : some brands are sooo overhyped on social media, like patmagrath, i got a famous mothership with discount and i was like WTF is this? Alter Ego is OK but not worth the price with the shipping. But don't worry, you're not missing much (re. Alter Ego). Now the others... Maybe you can try some European indie brands for somewhat more reasonable shipping... I feel your pain!

Alter ego depends on the palette really. Some prefer the alter ego palette to the one being duped but it isn’t consistent.

Yeah I would agree with the other comments - I wanted to try Alter Ego cause they were dupes, but they ended up costing quite a bit with shipping and customs, so probably not worth it, since quality isn't 'amazing'! but I do like the palettes I have. I'm not aware of anywhere you can buy it in EU. I have been trying to buy from EU brands instead this year since it makes more sense! I swatched pat magrath in stores and I was not impressed either 😅😅

I've heard about it from Mieke at Floating in Dreams and you get free shipping for over €150, otherwise it's €13 or £13 or something shipping. It's not exactly cheap, but this way you can buy say 3 palettes from 3 different American indie brands without having to pay for shipping 3 times. Haven't pulled the trigger yet myself, but very interesting if you are in the EU or UK.

I’m not a note inside fan either! I think they’re crap they’re made in the PRC they ship from the United States, but they say they’re a Swedish brand. What the hell is coming out of Sweden nothing I’m not putting down the collaborators the collaborated with them but then I’ve heard they have two different formulas. I was greatly disappointed, but there’s no returns. I reached out to the company and they said yes we’re made in the PRC And we ship from our warehouse in the United States, so why the hell do they charge so much for shipping here within the United States and why do they advertise if they’re a Swedish friend? I have pallets from Ccolor cosmetics. That way I’ll perform Oden’s. I am really pissed that you and Deb Brandon’s charge so much for shipping. When really it cost them a couple bucks to bulk ship like they do instead of raising the price of their pallets they throw it on the shipping and that’s BS.

How does the mold look like? They are powders, no water no mold.. no life really.😨

I watched this documentary on TV, the white stuff on chocolate 🍫is actually 🍫 oil that cracked through when temperature went up and the white cocoa butter went solid when got colder. Same as "sweat" on 💄lipsticks 💄💄, having different ingredients means they'll separate. If something 2020 taught me, it's that micro organisms are like us, even make-up that have water, has ingredients that are harmful to such little things, like fragrance and alcohol, etc. So I don't worry much 🙂
