Tbh having a thick eyebrow is a blessing but it's also complicated most especially if you don't know how to groom them. 😫

True, although counterpoint when you're shaping, each and every hair doesn't have the same potential to totally ruin the end product. I think I just did pretty good with my sparser brows except I accidentally pulled a single wrong hair on one side and... oof. 😬

For beginners, I highly recommend plucking as you draw your brow. Draw a few light strokes with a pencil to start figuring out what shape you like, then you can pluck/shave off a few hairs you know for sure you don’t want. Keep alternating between drawing a few strokes and shaving/plucking. When I first started learning how to shave/pluck, I constantly shaved the wrong parts and removed more hairs than I wanted.

I've been watching brow tutorials all morning and this is the most approachable, in-depth, and educational one I've seen so far! Love the tips about soothing the brow area and matching to eye color instead of hair color (mind blown!)

So i've never done my eyebrows but finally decided to try it out. I've watched 20 or so tutorials on youtube and yours is by far, far the best. You explained some basic things which no one else addressed and I'm strictly watching beginner videos so they should have. Thank you SO much for this. You've made my whole day and probably saved me from some costly mistakes!

I have different brow shapes on both sides and it's such a headache. Left side has the straight brow and right side is much higher and has an arch.

Saaaame. People always say that eyebrows are sisters, not twins. Well, one of mine must be adopted!

When I pluck my brows I also try to stand back here & there to make sure I don't go over board with plucking - which has happened way too many times lol also the editing on your recent videos has been really nice! xx

As a general rule, step back every minute or so, because when you’re really dialed in on the small details, it’s easy to lose track of how much you’ve done. The overplucked look is hard to conceal and if you fall into that trap too often hair will literally just stop growing and you’ll end up with permanently skinny brows. So it’s smart when you’re a rookie to switch back and forth between eyes and only take off a little at a time so you’re not constantly chasing evenness and so you don’t step back all at once and go “oh my god what did I do?”

@@aeracrew Yess! And the good thing about Covid is that I have to learn how to pluck my brows properly by myself at home. Not only for this time period, but for the future - it's a bit frustrating relying on a cosmetician which is time and money consuming..

maybe try using a lighter powder for that area instead of a dark gel/pomade? yeah when you overdo that area it makes you look angry haha

if only i could see your brows and help you haha i say if you’re ok with the general shape of your current brows, keep its shape and just remove some excess in the monobrow area + your eyelids, then use products like pencil and brow gel/wax to tidy them!

Mine are a bit odd, I keep them in a style I haven’t seen others do and can’t find a name for it (they’re very small almost like dots near the inner corners of my brow and I keep them plucked this way) is this a style or am I just a weirdo lol for context think of those old kabuki masks that have dots for brows, only mine do flare out a bit like a normal brow just very small
