Few Tipps: Your Eye Contact appears more natural if you switch between the Eyes of the other Person. So just look into the left, then the right, then the left ect. he/she will barely realize it and you can hold eyecontact 100% of the time and you dont look like starring at him/her. You can add a more sensual touch by adding the mouth to the cycle. 100% of the time eye contact is what you want if you listen to someone. If you talk youre fine with 75%. The other 25% you can look around, just make sure you dont focus something else, especially not something which is behind the person you talk to. If you look someone into the eyes and he/she breaks eye contact by looking to the ground its a sign of submission. If a Girl does this its an invitation to aproach on her. All this basic rules of body language are universal. Breaking Eye Contact by looking to the ground is always submission. Holding Eye Contact is always a sign of dominance and confidence, the difference between asian and North American/European Culture is just that Asians abuse this subcounsious body language to activly show respect, while in Europe a lack of Eye Contact is considered "too submissive", unsteady or anxious.

@@Dannndyy no it means she's uncomfortable with the stare, not necessarily uninterested. If I see a young attractive guy walking towards me in the street, I automatically look down, it seems to be innate. If a woman is uninterested, approached in a club, it is pretty obvious, she will move more towards her friends, possibly turn away from you all those body language cues.

@@zizi133 I completely agree. My gave my crush a gift, but was too nervous to watch his actual reaction, but he was excited about it and said how cool it was and when I turned to face him he had a genuine smile and held his arm out for me to give him a hug. I looked him in his eyes and smiled, but I was still shy and nervous and instinctually looked down as I stepped toward him. Eventhough I was happy he was smiling at me and wanted to hug me and we always had super intense eye contact before, I was overwhelmed with emotion in a good way.

Good Eye Contact Tip: It really depends on your verbal content. Example, if you're naturally a funny person, be sure to look "away" after saying something funny. Don't look at the person for a reaction & don't smile or laugh until they have smiled or laughed. The reason is simple, if you're not funny and you're looking at them for a reaction, then what you're really doing is forcing a smile or laugh.

In Malaysia, for the Malay,If you're listening attentively, look at the speaker with warmth in your eyes , looking while nodding means you're focus and very much appreciated. when you're sorry, looking down for a moment is a gesture of regret. rude gestures such as rolling eyes and staring, is pretty much unacceptable just like in other cultures. Btw, with a lot of advises, this is a very helpful video.

Hey Antonio... I'm from India and have been following your videos for quite some time now. I too have to travel overseas on business and this is something I've noticed a lot. I think Indians are raised in a culture where we are taught to respect their elders...a respect we show by bowing to them and listening to them. Even to women, historically, men were not supposed to have long direct eye contacts... It was considered vulgar. We've come a long way since then but even today, direct eye contact is usually considered aggressive and disrespectful in our culture, period. I think when it comes to eye contact, people should consider cultural differences as one of the most important factors and adapt accordingly.

I live in London, UK and my field (TV/Film Production) is heavily based around networking. I have to always get on good terms with people I meet, as this could lead to me progressing and landing bigger jobs. From my experiences I would say that a firm handshake, and not hesitating in telling them what you want out of this experience, as well as stating you will do a job reliably are the most key things when given a short time frame to really sell yourself to a producer, or director or CEO.

@DecmanReturns Great to hear I won't have to adjust my eye contact habits in Ireland! And I have a similiar story with a girl back in college - that relationship only lasted till morning if I remember correctly. Haha!

Great video! I have an interview this weekend for Apple and I am kinda nervous. I always had problems with eye contact and public speaking. I would like to improve this skill for me to show people I am their and to show that I am a good person. Maybe its because everything is social online, like Facebook messaging, texting, and other social media and I am well at it. But when it comes to eye and public speaking, I have trouble at this. I never got out much when I was in school or college. I may start going to go out and find some friends to improve and feel more confident with others. So what do you think?

Love you'r videos. I like the way you explain the idea of expressing your self. It's something that everyone wants todo but at the same time we are scared to do it. Public speaking is at the top of the list of people's fears, and its great that we can go on youtube and have people like you share your ideas to help us to understand the phenomena of public specking. As you said in your vedeos practice is the key to be a better speaker. I would like to see how you practice for these videos.

Antonio, one of the things I trully appreciate about your videos is that you are devoted to helping men become Real Men with style. I'm brasilian, but I grew up in here in the united States of America. Although my parents thought me great values, I also had great male mentors, I learned a great deal from them. After learning and mastering this true art of attention. I have seen amazing results. I'll recommend beginning with your family first. Start with your wife, It will bring you great joy :-)

Well, It was very helpful to me because I come from India and live in Europe. Many people have misunderstood me with my intentions because I didn't understand the eye contact rules in the west. And many times I don' even understand what they were thinking about my conversation with me. So, this series is helpful. I learnt the difference between staring and proper eye contact. Thanks.

I have been watching these videos about eye contacts only recently. I am scared to death and insecure when it comes to looking into someone's eye. I feel like they will find my thoughts of them in my eyes lol... However I do look either at the nose or the point between the eyebrows or the lips to show interest and usually it works. But I am trying to do as I learn from these vids! Thanks
