@@hiddenleaf414 Not "technically" it just depends. The seat before the counterspell eats a lot of unnecessary removal. Martin seems like one of those players that falls into the sunk cost fallacy of "oh I held up mana for a counterspell so I HAVE to counter something or else it was a waste." So when no one casts anything worth countering they just counter whatever the player to their right (Andrew) casts regardless of how important it is to counter it. It sucks since all that removal is wasted and one person in particular gets fucked over for just coincidently sitting to the right of them. Edit: Though the mana drain does make sense for the turn 3 locust god, mana drain is a crazy card lol

I’m not a fan of this kind of izzet decks. At least the commander itself is fun

*SPOILERS* Martin was being a butt this game. 1) Max played Ugin, and he ignored it. 2) Max played Rebbec, and he ignored it. 3) Max played Digsite Engineer, and he ignored it. Nick played pretty smart, not playing anything big while Martin had mana open, and then playing those things when he didn't. Also, I, too, like his deck. I'm not much for mono blue, but that looks like fun :)

@@Herperof1000derps Around 6 mintes he plays Ghirapur Orrery allowing additional land drop and then around 10 minutes uses oblivion sower to play 4 our more lands. He played it correctly I just wasn't paying too much attention.
