So many things wrong with the kindergarten story : she should never let this kid get go to the car, or confronted him she should have had the police waiting there to question him keeping the child safely away from they guy

Either that story is fake, or the people involved are inept. Typically, there are protocols in place to deal with suspected child abuse.

Can we also acknowledge how worthless the pregnant lady's male coworkers were? Not once did they intervene when she was being questioned and clearly was uncomfortable but they also quickly jumped on the bus after her attack. But what can you expect when they allowed her to sit on the ground. I'm not one to believe pregnancy is a disability, no woman should. But there is a thing called common courtesy and manners. It should be instinct but these dudes were terrible.

@@generaleerelativity9524 honestly, I thought it was a dude at first when they sat on the ground and then referred to their wife. I don't know many pregnant lesbians who've had to ride the bus or work in strip malls either. They're all super professional women who've paid for a donor. Maybe her wife is the high paid professional and OP is prettier and they want vanity above brains. The whole story sounded fishy to me.

That story about the kindergarten teacher and the injured child rings hollow. If you work at a school you are a mandated reporter and have to report potential child abuse and neglect to the authorities. You don't investigate on your own. You also don't confront the potential abuser. You call the cops or CPS and then you file a report via the proper paperwork. If the story was true, she'd be fired, fined and possibly sued by the kid when he was older.

  • @alan120691

I was thinking this too. If anything, confronting the father put the child in even more danger. The coworkers should have known the proper procedure as well.

  • @JadedJessica

Yes! That one bothered me so much! It is utter BS. I'm a former teacher, and we're all trained to report things like that to social services (not the police, like the story kept talking about) and NEVER just confront the suspected abuser specifically so you don't put the child and yourself in more danger.

You're speaking from a city point of view.... There's lots of small towns all across the United States or even the world I'm not sure that this gave a location.... But this definitely sounds like something a do-gooder would do so I have no reason to doubt it people do dumb stuff all the time and put themselves at risk and others at risk instead of thinking it through.... And she did mention that she went on to another town so it could have been that she got fired so yeah more than likely it's true...

I hate when that happens. The stories are obviously fake 99% of the time, but when there is a flaw that takes that 1% chance that it could be true away, it ruins the immersion for me. Perhaps it is good that this one was for sure fake though.

The sad thing is, that might have not been enough. He most likely wouldn’t have gotten a life sentence (based on what I know, the law can work like that in some places but I’m not sure if I would have been that way in this case) if he didn’t get those charges for attempted homicide and assault. Then again he obviously isn’t mentally well and made it clear what his intentions were, so either way that probably would have been the outcome. But, on the off chance it wasn’t enough, both the kid and the teacher would be in mortal danger, once he served his sentence and got out of prison or something.

Abby wasn't that great of a girlfriend, IMO, because dating or marrying a police officer takes a very strong understanding person. They do go thru a lot of horrible things sometimes, and most of them don't want to make ppl's lives difficult? There are some bad ones who become a PO just because they're already whacko and want to hurt others under the guise of the law, but I've met more sweet and caring ones than bad ones. Most just want to get back home safe to their families as well, and a lot of folks do give them a difficult time for no reason. Poor Oliver, I don't condemn him for not being able to save that girl but for all we know maybe he had so much guilt because he could've easily saved her and didn't? It could be why her spirit was torturing him, but we'll never know? As for Abby, if she truly loved him why not try everything possible like going to a medium or someone who could possibly appease the spirit, it just seems like she didn't try too hard to have his back? I've been married to my hubby for 27 years, if either of us became haunted we're both fighting together? Ijs

I think it's pretty obvious that the Kindergarten story, if true, didn't take place in the US. I mean no one in this country gets a "life sentence" for threatening someone with a knife especially where it's not fatal. Its entirely possible that other countries don't have "mandated reporter" laws. It's interesting that *that's* the story people aren't willing to suspend belief for.

To go from the car and hide and the reason why this is the case because here's the scenario that anybody can pull up take crowbar and bash the window and drag you out of the car... Do you really think that little piece of glass is going to keep criminals murderers or rapists from getting you know so if you go hide in the woods or the bushes or behind a hill or wherever until morning if the weather's not bad or until the tow truck shows up you're better off because if they show up in the car is empty they don't know where you're at and then they can't bash the window and drag you out of the car or whatever

In the second story, I don't think the creepy guy was interested in a coffee date. He was probably a trafficker. The pregnant lady likely has more disabilities than being partially deaf (she had an earbud in her one good ear) and seems very meek, both of which add to her vulnerability and make her a target. If she'd gone with him to Starbucks, she would have been drugged and kidnapped.

The one story about the kindergartener can't possibly be true. If it was the narrator would be admitting to several crimes, school staff are mandatory reporters, if they suspect child abuse they are legally required to report it to the police. Not reporting it, as the narrator of that story doesn't, is a crime itself. They failed to do their legal duty by not reporting it earlier, and they should probably also be in jail for it.

I get what you're saying, but it wouldn't surprise me. I've seen it too often that making reports, calling cops, or trying to talk sense into parents (when their kids do bad things) leads absolutely nowhere! My personal favourites: 1) My mother, I, and another mother with child were threatened by a bunch of wannabe gangsters for no apparent reason and they had knives waving at us in broad daylight! We ran off and they had a laugh. My mother called the cops and they refused to come, despite these guys still loitering! 2) a few years later, a classmate made threats in public towards me. Neither the teachers nor his parents took it seriously. One year later, it escalated to a full blown fight that could have ended deadly for any of us! It was a mere coincident that someone walked in and deescalate the situation. I suffered PTSD from that day! 3) Some of my relatives are into smuggling and racketeering of off the books produced antibiotics for illegal use in farms. Due to a family feud, the police was informed, but despite literally tons of evidence nothing ever came of it and they are not exactly what I'd call organised or well connected. Thus, real, hard organised crime should have it even easier! PS: these things occurred in Germany and Austria.

Talking to someone like that and telling them you will turn them in is putting yourself in danger and the child in probably more danger when they get home. Call the authorities immediately

The amount of times I've heard the same story told using different cryptids or situated in another continent is unbelievable! I think if people want more uploads they can't really complain if the narrators don't have the time or resources to vet each story! Maybe less than a quarter of these stories are true, judging by the fact that each story seems to be written by a putlizer award winning person!😂😂😂

Why would the kidnapper not cover their victims mouth? Why would the victim only gently sob instead of screaming for help? And why wasn't this crazy story in the newspaper ? As careless as it was in that kindergarten story, the only reason that guy is in jail is because his father tried to stab one of her coworkers. Reporting abuse usually is a long drawn out process that leaves the child in the dangerous situation longer. I was one of those kids, I was never taken out of the situation because I was groomed and brainwashed to say everything was fine, the house didn't always look that way, the bruises were from falling etc

Uh, yeah, that kindergarten teacher story is either fake, or that teacher is the dumbest and most incompetent teacher I've ever heard of. That stuff immediately needs to be reported to social services. NO teacher would go to the parent's house or confront them. That's literally the opposite of what teachers are trained to do. If the story is true and she really did do that, she needs to leave the teaching profession because she put herself, the kid, and her coworkers in danger.

At this point, I'd honestly rather you tell fictional stories than crappy but "allegedly true" stories...the quality had gone very much downhill in the last 6 or so months...

The quality is very much in the hands of those who submit these stories, but I do agree he could tell fictional stories 🤷

@@andrewillustrationsI understand what you're saying, but that's just not entirely true, he chooses the stories to run with, and can also research stories that aren't submitted to his channel directly. Other narrators seem to have excelled in quality and have done extensive research, they've also seen fairly impressive and recent growth from these methods. While the stories the darkness team picks increasingly sound like they're written by a select few who are trying to be writers and who are also trying to mimic another creator's storytelling style in order to maximize the word count. Either he needs to broaden his research net and/or include a wider variety of authors and/or include fictional (or really mystifying but not necessarily ghoulish) true crime/mysteries or his channel will continue to stall in growth.
