Honestly didn't know what a yeti was till I started watching this channel, now I've convinced my misses to have one lol

56:11 If anyone wondering why they did not succed, doors won't open from inside switch if car is being locked from keyfob. It's a security feature so if you have you're windows down a bit during summer no one can break in doing the same trick they tried with a wire. Only way to get out if you actually stuck in the car is the tailgate release but that's impossible to open if you are not in the car. If you ever get locked a VW you're only chance is to open the tailgate, remember. Be aware if you press lock on you're keyfob with the open doors, place you're jacket in the car while keys are in the pocket you're car will get fully locked as soon as you slam the door. Great to see 1h+ long content. We need more. That Yeti left me speechless how well it's performing actualy not meant to be where you took it.

Attacking the front bumper with an angle grinder proved to be inspired 😊 The Gritt team look like good lads and I'm sure their spotting skills kept you out of trouble on a few occasions. Thanks for the great filming and also the editing. Must have been a fair few hours of footage to go through. Hope little George made it back without frostbite. At least you didn't need the aircon 😅

fantastic episode Ryan, everyone had fun and no major casualties , and 1 flat tire, I call it a huge fun filled weekend and young George is probably asking when is the next green lane weekend , he is quite the character , and you all had great weather ,that's truly a plus, a good show of how capable VW"s are off road, Have you ever watched Matt's off road recovery on KZread in Utah it is an absolute joy to watch, its full of crack to, young George would love it, it is a family friendly channel , you would love the build parts of the channel Touareg's are truly capable off road, VW just never gave them any bash plates you had to make your own, great video 👍

Loving the overland episodes! Strata is so much fun. I did it a few years back in a Hilux. Noticed at the bomb hole I had a blown head gasket. Needless to say it smashed the lane and still made it back to Nottingham a few days later!

The yeti is awesome, i hve a 2015 scout manual 150hp and go offlroading in 🇦🇺 . The best thing that helped me is installing a plug n play throttle controller before that i kept stalling on the slighest incline. Trust me it works

Go Yeti! Great job on the front approach work. Maybe reverse down that hole next time? And let someone else have the winch. That’s what I do. My useless mates love having their winch in anticipation, but my Yeti hasn’t been stopped yet. None of that crazy rocky country for me though. Can’t wait for undercarriage inspection! All the best

Surprisingly few views, I enjoy watching these off-roading videos and the banter between you. Love the VWs but the hero is the Yeti 👌

Great Adventure. Not like other overlanders that got thru a field and talk like they crossed the Atacama

Seen the vom hole in various videos. I’m very surprised the amarok made it.

All those cars did pretty well but the three old touareg they just did the job perfectly done. Touareg T1 and T2 are Legendary Suv Car.

After all that effort I didn't expect to see the V8 there. Brilliant vid boys. Jealous of the camping!

Great vid, when you first said Gritt outdoors I thought it were your accent saying Great outdoors. Again great vid, as a Skoda driver always good to see the yeti getting in there. Done us slowda driver proud *sniff*

Any chance of doing something on the rear bumper of the yeti, similar to what youve done on the front? It seems one of its strengths is its departure angle. Taking the plastic off and replacing it with a stronger, more compact metal version would help out even more i reckon. It would end up basically being a box with a wheel at each corner!

@1:00:00 - there's a similar lake - Llyn Alwen - in North Wales where the 4b's park up and camp overnight, dead end lane, peaceful and quiet and a bit closer for us :) Unless that's where you are, it doesn't half look the same - in which case, that'd have been a good drive back up from Bastard Lane.

My old stomping ground from when I was a trail guide and living near to Llandovery. Shame the Monks Trod is TRO’d and Soar y Mynydd washed out at present. Can’t say I’ve seen the water levels so low on the Strata Florida as they were with you. I once lost my XR400 for 2 days and found it with a grappling hook half a mile downstream. I count myself lucky compared to the 15yr old girl who was sadly drowned in a Disco that turned over there a few days afterwards. The Yeti is most impressive👍

Did you make the front bumper and snorkel for the Touareg yourself? I'm here in the USA looking for either a bumper or bumper design. Unless I find a bumper, or at minimum some key measurements, I'm going to have to tig weld something up myself and figure it out as I go.

Those are the best on the Mud but super noisy on the road. The Bighorns are a good compromise!

Took me fuckin' ages to find him lol We were over there last Saturday, great fun. Did Bastard Lane on an ADV bike a couple of years back, well, I said 'did', I fell off on most of it :D Strata Florida is one of our regular spins out though.

Could you geniuses possibly develop a software patch that could allow you to switch the Haldex on and off on a button ? So that you didn’t have to wait for it to sense slip ?
