Assuming the drinks ever went into the watermelon, they did come out. This doesn't work. Any liquid you try to put in, it'll just spill out, not absorb. Leave it for 24 hours, and you MIGHT get about a quarter-inch of melon a bit saturated around the lip of the bottle, but that's it; the rest will spill out and pool around the melon, not in it.

The ice crystals that form within, and ruin the watermelon make it LESS able to absorb liquid than it already is, and alcohol doesn't start stiffening up until around -170°F or colder, so putting it into a standard freezer (0°F) won't effect it beyond making it slightly colder than most people prefer.

This was tested on How To Cook That. The closest she got was about a quarter inch of liquid soaking in. Anymore just rose up the sides of the hole, and spilled out, making a mess. Fortunately, the melon was on a paper towel, so the majority of it was absorbed by that instead of leaving the table a sticky, disgusting mess. This does not work. You'll just waste your time, and the majority of whatever liquid you try to put into the melon.

I did this about a decade ago with 1 bottle of vodka. It took over a day to soak up, and the outside was more squishy. It went fine though and came out good, but anymore then a 750 mil bottle probably won't work. I threw a July 4th party and everyone who got some loved it.
