Like that you talk the talk, loving that you walk the walk!!! I think for your younger viewers it’s important for me anyway to point out the issues that come with vintage bike riding are not necessarily because of their age 😎 for instance I had a 71 sl125 as a kid in 76 I had hardly a week go by without those kind of issues me and everyone else it was just part of!!!! KEEP ON KEEPING ON!!!

I've ridden with no clutch plenty of times - but not on purpose, and not on a gnarly trail like that ! Mind you, in old school trials, we engaged 2nd gear and never touched the clutch for the whole section. Liked the work on the Desert Sled with no voice over, just working on the bike.

Thanks for noticing and commenting on the no sound work session - that was a new choice for me so good to hear the feedback.

You weren't wrong about the Pitting on the fork stanchions, I've never seen any that bad! 🥺

You should have seen these forks when I bought them - they looked someone pulled them from the bottom of a river😆

I have broken 2 throttle cables, but only one clutch cable whilst riding in the bush. That never stopped me from riding the rest of the day with any of those breaks! The broken throttle cables all you need to do is loop wind the broken end around the box end of a wrench, then use the wrench as a teeter totter over the grip. And then you will have a working throttle so to speak!

In full honesty, Today's Riders will never want this kind of problems , some people nowadays are barely able to do simple maintenance like changing the oil or even clean and lubricate the chain. For me you have my dream garage and most of all a beautiful Trail literally behind your beautiful house, you are just living my dream, I would just do that all day.

One of the old tricks was an old cable type compression release that had the same end as the clutch OEM cable wasn't pretty and hard on thumb .
