Twitchyboi Let's not have ourselves sidetracked away from the fun principal of quad roller-skating we are observing here but anyway it seems to me you misinterpreted my statement. I was not providing a clinical diagnosis but just saying that the more fitting term should be OCPD (Obsessive-Compulsive *Personality* Disorder). OCD and OCPD are very different mental conditions. People need to start using the word 'OCPD' if they have a characteristic tendency to strive for abnormal perfectionism. OCD is way way way worse and terrifying. In psychology, OCD is when you have these recurring intrusive thoughts and you are forced to perform these ritualistic compulsions to get rid of said thoughts. Horrifying... Brrr....

Tell Pigeon that a regular school eraser takes marks/stains out of suede. I know this from wearing timberland boots from back in the day. Get a white eraser and go over that tire stain again and I bet she could get it off more!

Oh Pigeon! I'm so glad to see you pushing that stroller in skates! Today I just bought the periwinkle beach bunnies and a double jogging stroller. I was just wanting a way to skate when my older two are in school and thought of that combo. Totally pumped to see another mama with the same idea! I love your videos Indy! Dear Indy, next Saturday on the 15 of this month and I am having a roller skate party and the only reason that is that is because of u. One day I wish I can meet u . I have learned sooooo many tricks because of ur videos

So far my moxi lolly skates are holding up to rink skating, street skating, and park skating beautifully, although I am overly cautious about liquid/mud. I've found a tooth brush works really well to get dirt off the suede. For the wheels and trucks I use a damp wash cloth, although I've been thinking about getting a can of compressed air to help get all the crud out of the tiny spaces in the trucks. Has anyone ever tried this? Thanks Indy for everything. You have no idea how much you've taught me, and how much my skater buddies reference you when we're skating! 💙

You can save on the canned air and get a camera dust blower. Works just as well to blow away any dust on the back of the skate, or between plate and truck.

Indy, I can't thank you enough for all these videos. You and Dirty Deb got me back on wheels after 20+ years. I thought I was too old, too fat and too broken to skate. I'm far from good at skating but I'm having a blast trying lol! Thanks!

You can use leather cleaner safe for suede to clean your skates and you can condition them too if you like to make them look nice and hydrated! Toe guards will definitely save you from damage as well

i'm happy you cleaned the beach bunnys i was hoping you would clean the beach bunnys too because im getting beach bunnys and i wanted to know how to keep them clean. and can you do a video on forward rolling skate dancing

I don't know if you use use this on your skates after you dye them but scotch guard works really well for protecting the dye on your skates fron water among other things. I just recently dyed my skates and scotch guard works like a charm I would highly recommend getting some

How do you feel about the beach bunnies vs the candi girl skates for a beginner?

I try to skate outside but the streets freak me out since they're not as smooth as the rink or the park basketball court. I hope when Dallas cools down I can get outside with some knee pads and try it out again.

LOVE those lime-green toe-stops & laces! I had good results using the Angeles suede-cleaner, dye, and stain/water-repellent products. Skating in the midday sun had faded the fuschia suede, and skatepark cement dust was embedded in the nap of the suede. The cleaner worked so well and restored so much of the color, that I could have avoided dyeing them altogether. But I already had the dye and wanted to use it, so I did. The dye turned out great! Finished it up with the stain/water repellent, which has done a good job of keeping the suede clean.

To clean suede you can use a dry steel wool, it takes of the stains and maintains texture, I use it on my boots :)

Toe stop stem cutting tip: before you cut the stem to shorten it - make sure your lock nut is on. After you cut the stem, by unscrewing the lock nut you will help rethread the cut stem. If the stem isn't threaded cleanly....you might screw up the plate by cross threading. (I messed up a plate before - luckily the husband's tap die set fixed it).

For the beach bunny’s You could use a sponge called “Scrub Daddy” it gets soft in warm water and firm in cold water and I find that it cleans stuff really well.

I bought toe guards from Abbey and they are so beautiful

I used to help manage a vans store in Hawaii. We sold cans of scotch guard to protect your suede, leather or canvas skate shoes. *we always joked vans look better dirty. But...stuff works awesome to spray your new skates with, it protects the material and guards it from water.

I would always try and look at thrift stores, pawn shops or garage sales. I’m still saving for Moxi’s and my past skates have all been found for less than $25.

The Beach Bunny skate is $150 and great quality. The Candi Girl is $99 and I've seen a lot of people really rocking on those. To clean my light colored converse I use a mixture of vinegar and baking soda! I use a tooth brush to scrub, it works pretty well. Maybe it would work with the skates?
