Now I am even more impressed with Andrea's achievements knowing that as well as being a mother, wife and all round skilled person she is navigating all this with a medical condition and she still has a sunny disposition. Andrea and Dean are a great team, the playroom is stunning.

Wow! That ladder gave you all kinds of struggles! The room is beautiful! I also have an auto-immune disorder. Hang in there, it’s a bit of a roller coaster. With a good doc, you will figure out what works for you. Also, don’t be hesitant to be your own health care advocate! It is possible to have years of little or no issues. At least that’s been my journey of about 13 years. Keeping physically fit will go a long way. I’m sharing what’s worked in my journey. Yours of course might be different. Adorable finish. Have uc, 37 yrs now...flares up/subsides/on-off meds. Found diet/minimize stress&tension and being active all help control. Is what it is...not diabetes, thank God. Best of luck to you.

Putting candle wax, soap from a bar of soap or just paste wax on the end of a screw helps it go in so much easier.

Great job! I'll definitely rebuild the ladder for my library! It is wonderful when children have a large space to develop. It's also great for the parents when the toys find their place and it's easier to keep things tidy.

I started the Autoimmune Protocol and was able to transition to part AP, part Paleo. It’s only hard until it’s habit. The diet does great things for health! Been doing it almost 11 years. I love your channel!

Love the results of the playroom! That color green is so calming. The fact that you left that huge space on the floor for play instead of filling it up with unnecessary furniture especially given the window bench. All parts of the build were great. If you are not headed to a big box store at least 10 times for each room, is it really a DIY?

Anytime I'm working on a project and I don't have to go to Lowes more than 2x's in one day, it's a victory. I've had 5 visit Lowes days. Those are the worse. The project came out incredible. The room is fun, yet sophisticated, so it should age up well with your kids. Instead of building a miter saw stand, have you considered one of the rolling portable stands that are made by several companies? No matter what, miter saws are heavy and a pain to lug around, but when I'm on a job site, I can wheel the miter saw around by myself. Also, in the folded position, they save space in your garage. Cheers!

My daughter also was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis last year and it has been quite a journey for her. The discomfort and fatigue are super debilitating so the fact that you work so hard is impressive!

Andrea, the AIP diet does make a difference it is hard to get used to to, and from time to time you may need to go back to it to find your center. I use it with Graves and Diabetes it helps so much. Hats off girl you do wonderful work and struggling with an autoimmune is not easy. You are a warrior keep up the good work!

Use a very wet bar of soap and apply to threads of screws. You can also use a NEW wax toilet seal.

Hi Andrea, I was laughing when you tried to open the ladder package..it reminded me of my patio shade..it drove me nuts , trying to open the shade..took over 2hours. and it was wrinkled galore when I got it outta carton.. it went up on patio.. great job with bookcases. awesome room..hope you are better..cut out all chemicals, additives, in foods..just eat natural.. start your own food forest in your yard...EAT CLEAN. y'all are awesome..♡

The playroom looks amazing. Andrea, please be careful. I was so worried a couple to times that you would fall and hurt yourself. You don't want to break an arm or anything else for that matter.. I broke my arm 9 weeks ago cause I got to comfortable stepping over a fan cord and them I accidentally hooks my foot on it an took a belly flop on the floor. Breaking your arm It's fun and a very painful recovery at times. So please be careful. Dean please make sure to keep an eye on her and on yourself too.

Every episode I find myself talking to the screen saying, “Guys, build a table with wheels for that saw so you can wheel it in and out of the garage!” 🤣

Andrea..I have lived with UC for 60 yrs! Been in remission.. could offer what I’ve learned if interested. I’m an ICU NURSE also.. people have no CLUE how UC DRAINS YOU! Fatigue, joint pain, bloat..it can be fixed!! ❤️❤️👍🏻

I love CAVA! I know the feeling of eliminating yummy foods, I have had to eliminate dairy and soy from my diet. I too have just quit eating out because it’s easier, but I do miss it! I love your videos guys!

I have UC - and I went on an elimination diet as well. I eliminated cruciferous vegetables sour cream and most but not all diary. One thing that is very helpful to me is drinking kefir everyday. 6-8 oz of Kefir each day helps me to digest my food

Andrea, I had the same autoimmune issue. It's been in remission for 5 years now. I did the GAPS diet, then Paleo Autoimmune Protocol and now I stick to Wahl's Protocol. They really work! ❤️

Recommend torx/star screws if you aren’t already using them. Those Phillips head bits ALWAYS slip like that - making it much more difficult to drive them in.
