Extreme Process of a 60 Hour Detail on a 2022 Ford F-150
A very in-depth detail I have ever filmed or done. In this video I tackle a brand new 2022 Ford F-150 with bad hard water and give it the best treatment I could without sanding the whole thing. The owner bought it with 4k miles and had hard water all over it, After washing it I saw it had PPF on the whole front end. The Client had no idea what PPF was but also whoever did the PPF job was SO bad, corners were lifting and had dirt in-between the film and paint so I had to remove it. This video covers every exterior process that took place, wash and decontamination, PPF removal, paint correction, and a ceramic coating. I really wanted to document the entire process to properly show you the massive project it was and show the end results. I worked on this for over 60 hours including filming but I felt like this was the best number to put. I hope you guys enjoy this detailing video. It was a fun project and took me off my comfort zone on doing some little extra details.

Good gracious everyone commenting about the PPF... If it's your vehicle, get all the PPF you want and enjoy spending lots of money on it. This detailer made the right call -- remove the bubbling, poorly installed film, and decon / polish / protect the paint. Rock chips are really not that common unless you chronically tailgate people, or go off roading. Great video, solid work, customer was happy... win win win.

They were clean…. Just filming multiple angles you have to get in and out… but rest assured they were clean before it left.
What was specifically wrong with the ppf? Bubbles, glue lines, not paint corrected before install ? Went from being fully protected against rock chips to zero protection against rock chips.

The ppf was peeling back on the panels with dirt in the spots that were lifted. The hood had spaces where the installer didn't even wrap it under the hood. In areas of the ppf dirt and water was between it. Just not a good job and wouldn't last long any ways unfortunately.

The one I was using is a Karcher But I do not use that one anymore. Ill post the links if you would like to check them out Karcher - bit.ly/3FOiUUk Kranzle - bit.ly/3ZirCCk
Why didn't you put new ppf on the front then? an then if you wanted, could have put the coating on top of it...seems like the way to go to protect from rock chips, especially with how much this client was spending.

What i took off to re do it all would be 8 to 10k also rocks went thru the ppf in spots and what's the big deal on the rock chips?? don't drive on peoples butts and you won't have any, pretty simple. The truck is protected then most peoples vehicles and the client was happy.

@@ChaotikGarage oh, that was my bad then, I only saw the front fenders, hood and bumper with ppf. I didn't know the entire truck was protected. and ok, that's fair, if the client was happy, then it was a job well done, just curious, how long did you spend on the filming portion of those 60 hours vs detailing?

@@craigschwent8698 You are correct that's what was protected, it would cost that much for the whole "front clip" and Im not sure how long it took. It took me over the 60 but I felt like that was a solid medium. Just say it was alot for both.
