Extreme Whole House Declutter Challenge - Minimalist Living
Hello lovely people 🌱
In this video, I am going to be taking on an extreme declutter challenge. As a minimalist, I believe in owning only what brings me joy and serves a purpose. I'll be attempting to declutter 100 items in just one hour!
I know that this may seem like a daunting task, but I am confident that with this clear understanding of what I want to achieve, I may be able to accomplish this challenge. I'll be going room by room, starting with the living room, then moving on to office, do a closet declutter, and so on.
Throughout this video, I'll be sharing my decluttering tips and tricks with you all, so you can follow along and declutter with me The goal is to declutter things you don't need, so you can enjoy the benefits of a clutter-free home 😊
One of the most important things to keep in mind while decluttering is to be honest with yourself. Ask yourself, ""Do I use this item often?"" or ""Does this bring me joy?"" If the answer is no, it's time to let it go.
Another important tip is to have a designated area for items that you are getting rid of. This can be a box or a bag, but it's important to have a designated space for items that you are no longer using. This way, you can easily keep track of your progress and see the difference you are making in your home. I do exactly this in my video 🙌
I'll be sharing my own experience and the decisions I make as I go through this challenge. You'll see me sort through my possessions and determine which items I want to keep and which items I want to get rid of. This is a great opportunity to learn from my mistakes and see how I make decisions about what to keep and what to get rid of.
This extreme declutter challenge is a great opportunity to challenge yourself and make a positive change in your life. Whether you're a minimalist or just looking to simplify your life, decluttering can bring so much peace and joy to your home 🏡
So, are you ready to join me in this extreme declutter challenge? Grab your timer and let's get started!
Remember, the goal is to declutter 100 items in just one hour, but even if you don't reach that number, any progress is still a success. The important thing is to make a conscious effort to declutter and simplify your life.
I hope you enjoy this video and find it helpful. If you do, please give it a thumbs up and share it with your friends and family. And as always, let me know in the comments below what you thought of this video and what other decluttering tips and tricks you have to share.
Enjoy! 😄

@@dnmgadores2538 Yes, I do! 🙌🏼 So awesome, well done 🥰 Happy I could be helpful and good luck with your plans!
This inspired me. I've done a quick run-around, reconciled with "I am never actually going to use this" a few times, and while I didn't count, I'd guess I'm way over 100 items in 30 mins or so. Mostly old music junk (like, how many promotional plectrums does anyone need?). I cleared a bag of items from my wardrobe the other day that will be donated this weekend, too.

Yeah I get that. I do a lot of these "playful" challenges. I don't care so much about the actual challenge but more what I can gain from this experience 😊 And yeah after filming this video, I have already decluttered more stuff so definitely it's good to do that whenever you notice something you don't need anymore 🙌
I love this. I did the first five mini with you and got 19 things and I declutter often. I’m going to finish it tomorrow when I have some time. That was fun. Thank you.

Hi Seve, what a funny video. You made me laugh...your mothers Christmas gift...ha, ha. Be careful - smile. I declutter my whole apartment, because I'll move in May to a new home. It's unbelievable how all these things come into the house. I'll remember your video tomorrow - new day - new challenge! Thanks for sharing with us.

i remember when i first got into minimalism, i did a big declutter and it felt good, a month later i did another declutter and then another a month after that. i realised there were so many things i could declutter after the first round that i just didn't think of, after decluttering the third time i really found i was free. i think i honestly only own like 100 things now, but I'm not without i have a kindle for books, a switch, Gameboy, ps5, PS vita all digital and loaded with games, my laptop, my camera, a mobile, a couple of journals, a few trinkets that are meaningful and my clothes. great thing about minimalism is there are no limits to what you can and cant declutter, what's minimal to one person may not be minimal to the next person. the important thing is recognising we hold onto things that may have once held purpose or sentiment but they no longer do and its time to let them go. I come from a place where my family home is full of hoarders, like I'm talking 10+ shipping containers and 2x 4 car garages full to the brim of stuff. my dad has like 20 cars on his property and in all honesty each to their own, nothing wrong with it if that's their values but personally i feel so free knowing i can put all my stuff in a car and still fit my cat and wife and drive away if i have to. I feel like its important to appreciate material things but learn to not get too attached to them, appreciating and loving an item even treasuring it is good, but when its gone, let it go, everything can be replaced and i think that's the real lesson here. I am really enjoying your journey, i decided to do my first youtube video recently, i have deleted all social media except for youtube and that's to be used on my laptop only which is tethered in my office. its kinda crazy but I'm honestly feeling my own creativity and wants coming in on their own. No longer bound to the influence of others unintentionally, im being very intentional on what i consume now and i feel like im developing more and more healthy habits daily and i am really enjoying this journey. You are an inspiration, thank you!

Bravo, Seve! Well done for having fun while reaching and exceeding your timed decluttering target 😊 You’re an inspiration. I think you said that you’d sell at least one of the items, but will you donate the others to, for example, a charity shop? Best wishes.
@SunnyKindJourney
Жыл бұрын
Yes, by decluttering I mean mainly donating. If things are easy to sell and I can get at least $10-20 from them, usually I try first selling. For things like socks, papers, etc. I just recycled them.
I gotta do that myself

I find books and electronics extremely hard to get rid of because a lot of them cost a lot and I am always like, What if I need that information again? Especially, when it comes to textbooks but I ended up getting rid of and donating a lot last because they are old versions and too much of a hassle to sell online. It was at a loss but textbooks are kind of like used cars in that sense. The minute you open the door and drive the car it depreciates in value.

Yeah, I feel the same. I haven't yet decluttered a lot of books but these days we can find so many things online and in Finland the library system is wonderful, so I'll start slowly decluttering those as well, like I did for a few in this video 👍 Thanks for the comment!

@@SunnyKindJourney I was also, telling the head of the school bookstore that for me, it's also hard of getting rid of physical textbooks because it is so nice not to look at a screen for a while. Meanwhile, if you go on a tablet you are just switching to a different screen.

@@MDobri-sy1ce Yeah agree!
The Pianist is a great and meaningful movie so you should watch it again and again! But I guess you can find it in netflix. And it’s okay decluttering some books your mom gave you as long as you give them to some other kids😊❤

I don't declutter on a restricted time basis, but approach it on a task basis i.e. I declutter clothes, or books, or linens/textiles, or I bin papers. One thing at a time, a bit at a time. You failed to mention what you do with the items you've decluttered. Don't ever throw them out! I give them to someone who runs a charity store from his house, he sells them on and donates the proceeds to charity.
@SunnyKindJourney

Yeah, I actually mentioned it while doing the challenge but in the editing phase that part got lost apparently 😄 After decluttering, most of the things I donate to a Red Cross donation center here. If things are easy to sell and I can get at least $10-20 from them, usually I try first selling. For things that can't be reused like socks, papers, etc. I just recycle them
Hi If you have extra money can you decluttered it? I need your extra stuffs message me and thanks in advance I always watch your videos on how to be simple and being a minimalist.
