If you want to increase contrast without affecting color just set the blend mode to luminosity

The most amazing thing in your videos, is that you make things look easy, even when the tool or mask youre creating is complex. The logic and functionality of the tool or mask is more easy to understand when you are using it in the photograph presented! Thanks for this amazing work!

whenever I watch your videos I feel like I'm watching one of those hgtv "home renovation" shows and you think to yourself "there's no way they could fix that, there's just too much damage, and ohhh that was a mistake I wouldn't have done that" but in the end it always turns out immaculate and I'm left in pure shock and awe. Great video! It really brings home the need to get it right in camera as often as possible. That takes less than 10 seconds vs. 20+ minutes in Photoshop. Yes, there are times when it's not possible to get it right in camera, but much less often than needing to correct such bad exposures.

Love the rapid fire speed of your tutorials. A really good demonstration of the practical power of curves.

After i learn Photoshop for 3month last 2013, I came back this year after i watch your video. You are good or maybe the best tutorial ever. I learn lots of things.

instead of tonal compensation in the rgb channel, we can change the blend mode for the curves adjustment layer to color.

Ahhhh thank you thank youuuuu so much for gifting us with all of your superior photoshop knowledge! In the past 2 weeks of finding you and watching your videos I have learned more than I ever have in the past 7 years of editing in photoshop and just picking up what I could along the ride. I've actually stopped shooting altogether right now because I've realized just how wrong my post processing work flow was!
