You probably have too items to do this and/or it would take you a month to complete, but i think digitizing your wardrobe would be an absolute game changer for you, especially because of the volume of pieces you have. You could keep track of all of them and it would make it so much easier to find things for look books and videos. Something to look into perharps!

could start with your fav pieces in each category (tops, skirts, pants, coats, etc) and make a lil capsule wardrobe catalog! less daunting than a whole wardrobe but still fun to play with :)

@@DANIxDANGER that’s really smart! It still serves the purpose of showing you what you really wear. I have a bad closet set up and a not great memory so i really needed it to help me remember what i own and try to make up outfits in advance. The effort was well worth it, it’s changing my life!

I'm impressed by how much you were willing to let go of, and by how much more accessible the rest of the clothes will be. Give yourself a pat on the back. That was a lot of work. I have a sh*t ton of clothes, and shoes, and I'm not a content creator. Nor am I as creative as you in making outfits.

what's crazy to me is looking at each of these items individually I wouldn't have a clue how to style them, but I know you can do it so well. Really makes me appreciate all the clothes I wouldn't have dared to try on before

It’s like you know when I need a video

this takes serious guts to do - I totally agree that a bigger wardrobe actually just leads to decision paralysis in the morning. I'm between multiple living places at the moment because of uni, which means that my wardrobe is spread out, as well as huge. I often forget what I already have, and find that when i'm looking for something to pair with clothes in the morning, I get side-tracked and overwhelmed by all the other options that I remember I've not worn 'enough.' I've already started donating lots of pieces that don't get done justice, and this video is encouraging me to keep going with it!! It's also really great to acknowledge the addictive slippery slope that is thrifting, I work in a thrift/charity shop, and the number of people coming in that make comments about how they have no space for anything they're buying, or that they're going to have to hide their purchases from their partners, really concerns me tbh 😬

would love to see a capsule wardrobe again from you, the evolution of your style is so interesting and fun and i'd love to know what pieces you choose atm! lots of love

The most relatable closet cleanout ever!! I get overwhelmed after a while of making decisions that i have to split my closet up into sections (tops, pants, outerwear, etc.) and the cleanout will be more than 1 day. I keep things that i know i dont wear anymore bcuz it has sentimental value, only to give it away the next time i clean out my closet bcuz my closet is always so full lol. Its just nice to see that im not the only who cleans out their closet like this 😅

Fashion trends are so interesting… all the things i loved as a kid-patterns, colors, styles literally everything-has come into trend in the last 3 years or so 😵‍💫 i love that it’s all popular now and people see the appeal of checkered slip on vans, grunge makeup/clothing, renewed appreciation for brats, checkered pattern in general, purples and reds but specifically the deep and dark wine colors, low waisted and straight leg jeans, the specifically Avril Lavigne type y2k look with the cute baby tees n tanks n baggy jeans/shorts, ANKLE LENGTH SOCKS OR ANYTHING SPECIFICALLY NOT NO SHOW OR LOW RISE 💀💀💀 it’s so nice now that I’m an adult and comfortable expressing myself and have once again found my own style (which was just my style as a kid tbh) it’s nice that these pieces are trendy n i can actually find them again in good variety

It's so interesting that most of what you have in your wardrobe, including the keep piles, are what thrift stores are filled with where I live and they just keep piling up because no one buys it. You can go into any thrift store, and it will be peak y2k/late 90's fashion.
