Why do you wash the dishes while putting them in the dishwasher? isn't that the whole point on loading the dishwasher? not needing to hand wash the dishes? serious question, i'm from germany and here we do it differently. Has it a positiv effect?

Hi. I rinse off any food that are on the dishes before I put them in the dishwasher. That way it doesn’t get the filter all dirty. And I hand wash any dishes that shouldn’t go in the dishwasher.
