Hey George - interesting stuff, but why did you opt for HTTP modules instead of Apollo 'custom API call' ones that are available?

There isn’t a strong reason. There is an “organization search” api call that isn’t documented on apollo’s side (like a people search, but for companies) and when I tested it wouldn’t run with the custom api through the Apollo module. It did run through the HTTP module and I never bothered to check again! Long story short though, I’m just more used to using the http one when I can

What formulas did you use in progress Fields, i actually did the different way but could you please tell me what field you have used?

This is a very old video! Try checking out a more recent one I uploaded last month. Since making this Apollo changed their api so the flow had to change slightly. You can also see the regex stuff there I think

All tools need a paid account (except possibly airtable and make depending on your usage). Apollo specifically needs to paid, although if you’re lucky enough to have a free account that was opened a long time ago then it should still work

@@AFK_Quay Apollo have changed their API outputs since I made this video. I have a new one prepared to go out this week that will explain in greater detail, but the short story is: You need the paid version of apollo to use it. Depending on your plan, the amount of emails you can enrich will change. So it's better to use the apollo search endpoint first to find people, and then use a tool like findymail or prospeo or datagma e.t.c to enrich the emails for cheap

@@gorgeousgeorgous Oh okay but is this Type automation completely obsolete or can you still exact data at large from Apollo with the changes Because I want to use instantly to send my email and Apollo to find the prospects. But doing it normally gets a bit pricey

Now you need a second http module after the Apollo people search function. Apollo used to return the email but as I say, they changed it last month, so now you need to make a separate enrichment call. The issue is that you only get 600 api calls a day, and most people only get 1000 email credits a month anyways. So that limits you. Instead of Apollo, for the enrichment I would add findymail or datagma or prospeo or getcontact or peopledatalabs. They’ll return you an email based on the info collected from your Apollo search. I’ll be posting a video shortly that explains this in more detail

I’m not teaching it at the moment and I’m entirely self taught so there isn’t anyone I can recommend off the top of my head. My advice would be to try and replicate what you see in all my videos and similar ones. As you try it, you’ll end up having to research or google specific problems which should in turn lead you to trying to make alterations and changes and create something new from what you learn. I am thinking though of making all my scenarios available for free with comprehensive how to guides on setting them up which could in its own way be useful for learning the basics

The unrepentant sales person would say to join my skool and get the apollo workflow from there already pre-built! But the sensible person says stick with sales nav and phantom buster. The volume and information in apollo far exceeds it, and I think the price/contact ratio better, but the single most important thing with tooling and processes is to commit to things you will actually do/use. Or in other words, I think Apollo is better but that's of no use if you use it wrong! I hope this word garbage makes sense!

@@gorgeousgeorgous alright thanks, I'll join next month, kinda tight budget atm 😅 Okay thanks for the advice. I have a potential client who'd like to have some lead scraping automation but prefers apollo, so I'll try to battle it out with the automation.

​@@gorgeousgeorgous Found my error, I was using a paid version of apollo but with a free trial, thinking that it would work. Figured it out by going through the integromat debugger extension. The response body actually tells you what the issue is, but not on the module. Kinda dumb. Would have saved me quite a few hours if it did. So you actually have to pay to use the api. Good to know 🤣
