Extra Intestinal Functions of Butyrate

My go-to for Butyrate supplementation: www.glutenfreesociety.org/sho...
Butyrate is a substance that is produced in our gut when we eat certain types of fiber. It has many important functions in our body, such as regulating our metabolism, transporting fluids in our intestines, reducing inflammation, and protecting our gut lining.
Butyrate also plays a role in preventing liver diseases, such as fatty liver disease and liver inflammation. It can also help with fat burning and improve the function of insulin-producing cells in our pancreas. Some studies suggest that butyrate may also have benefits for brain health.
To get butyrate, we can eat foods like sauerkraut, cabbage, cauliflower, carrots, and cheese. However, some people may have trouble getting enough butyrate from their diet due to issues like food sensitivities or a history of antibiotic use. In those cases, supplementation with butyrate may be considered.

Butyrate supplement that is encased so that it survives stomach acid and is delivered to the gut: developed under the patented name "Core Biome." It is one of 3 ingredients in a Gundry product, "Bio Complete 3". Before taking this I had lifelong constipation. Thank you for this information!

Doesn’t the ketogenic diet create BOHB (Beta-hydroxybutyrate)? So if you are sensitive to fiber, a keto diet can essentially produce the same thing? Does it influence the gut microbiome similarly to butyrate you would get from fiber?

its is more than dietary fibre. Resistant starch provides more fuel for our microbes than fibre does. then there are 5 classes of resistant starch, etc, etc, its more complex than what you are saying. Then you have the 3:1:1 ratio, for Acetate, Butyrate and Propionate and a few others of the SCFA group. Again, its a complex network of interaction and balance.

@DrOsborne Your book is my new Bible it’s attached to me! I am new to @DrOsborne & pick my brain! I watch a couple shows a day. I’m still stuck on the 1 - 15 day. I’m getting better every day & feel great but I’m hungry all the time can’t afford to loose a pound. I feel better than I have in my intire life! I was diagnosed with everything under the Sun…I said no to all pharmaceutical products and haven’t seen a Dr in 7 years. I thought I was healthy until I followed Dr Osborne. Thank you. I have a scheduled appt.

Your food sources of Butyrate is fine, BUT and a BIG BUTT, how many tons of these food sources would one have to eat. Your science is sketchy at best.
