haha. That plow was developed about 45 mins away from where I live. Deere also had a version of this plow. It pull a little harder than a regular plow but that's no problem when you consider what its being pulled by ........ IH .........

What is the advantage of a switch plow over a moldboard plow?

@@eatingamandarin just being able to switch back and forth easily the direction of the plow . Sometimes you need to throw the soil one way up hill or it's best to not have a dead furrow.

@@farmall51 I was wondering if the pow wanted to pull the front of the tractor around. Maybe the 3588 doesn't notice, but do you know if the FWA tractors get pushed around?

Some ground still requires moldboard plowing for efficiency really great for incorporating green manures and lime.

How many horsepower does it take to pull each one of those blades? Say how many could a 1370 pull? 150 hp. Tractor

Matt, I knew a guy that had a Deere switch plow. He pulled it with a Case IH 7130 Magnum. Needless to say, it didn't have any problems. I use to like to hear him leave his house with it going through the gears. It sounded so good. BTW, Check out my channel. I have a few farmall videos too.
