Ginatilan is located 148 kilometers away from Cebu City. Bordered by Samboan in the south, Malabuyoc in the north, to the east is Oslob and to the west is the vast Tañon Strait.
On May 26, 2023, I drove all the way to Ginatilan from my residence in Mandaue City. It was a heck of a ride. Long ride it was yet I enjoyed every bit of it! Thanks to the added power of my motorcycle brought about by Liqui Moly Speed Additive Shooter which really made me feel the extra strength and acceleration of my engine. Wheew! I enjoyed the speed! The thrill. I will be using it on my next long ride.
With 2 stop overs, first in Oslob and next was in Samboan. I reached Ginatilan via N. Bacalso South Cebu Highway. Heading straight to San Gregorio Magno Parish Church in Poblacion. I savored my time, enjoyed looking at the beautiful church which was constructed in 1829. I also checked the town's new and old municipal halls. I love the old building which looks perfectly maintained and still being used by the LGU. Then I proceeded to visit other notable places in its "Sentro". Flew my drone to capture the beauty and landscapes of the town.
On my bike again, "Siloy", my Yamaha MT-03, I cruised my way to Guiwanon, a barangay near the border in Malabuyoc to check the beaches and coastlines both on an eye-level and birds-eye view. What a very calm and bluest sea I captured the whole time I was flying my drone.
Made some shout-outs before heading back to poblacion. I stopped by some beautiful beach spots along the road. Then, I found myself in the town's sentro again. I gave some channel stickers to whoever I see. To the tinderas of a carenderia who smiled at me, to the habal2x drivers plying the poblacion-inambakan route, to the fish vendors in the market and more. I was happy.
Going to the last and my final destination before driving back to the city, the popular Inambakan Waterfalls.The road was a bit bumpy because some portions are rough. There was a part before reaching the falls' parking area, was narrow, steep and winding. But overall, the road was easy and short like in approximation was about 3-4 kilometers and reachable by cars and scooters.
Reaching Inambakan, I flew my drone. I swam and cooled down my body temp It was just a quick dip and visit to the most popular tourist attraction of Ginatilan.
I am so thankful to my guide, Rose and to the LGU officers in Inambakan Falls entrance. They were all friendly and helpful.

Despite Cebu's industrialization and being the most developed province in the Philippines, the nature is at its most pristine compared to many places in either Luzon or Mindanao where mountains are mostly bald or devoid of trees due to years of illegal logging and other unsustainable human activities. Tall trees and lush vegetation hugs either side of the highway and other roads all over Cebu. Amazing Cebu indeed!

I would also like to invite you - when you have a chance - to go to the Divine Mercy Chapel, located in Sitio Hambubuyog, Barangay Mangaco (Ginatilan's highest peak). From there, makita nimo ang provinces of Bohol, Negros and Sequijor.
Cebu has a good balance of laid back countryside life and fast-paced, bustling cities aka Metro Cebu...
