We encountered storm on Jan 20 - 22, 2024, which limited our movements. What was more annoying was that we received an email from the car rental co. - Thrifty on Jan 19, 2024 saying we turned the rental car in on Jan 19 at Las Vegas, consequently, a charge of 300 USD was levied, while the car was still with us in San Diego, It was really something beyond our comprehension. On Jan 20, 2024 at a brief break of the storm, we walked to the car rental centre at the airport and talked to the manager there who could not explain what had actually happened. Anyway, the charge was cancelled immediately, and the manager asked us to go there again next day to fix all the refunding issue and get a new contract, which we did the next morning. Quite bad experience with Thrifty car rental in SD, but the staff there was very helpful and friendly.
