I’m an Arsenal fan but still we all have to appreciate how much work both teams put into that game!

Quality performance on both ends of the pitch. Sometimes the shots go your way, and you never know unless you have a go at goal. Props to Ramsdale keeping Arsenal in the match. What a great beginning to a new year from both teams!

it was one pre-season friendly match - all the pundits predicting arsenal would easily win as they had a much longer preseason (5 games) than City (3 games) and their fitness and organisation levels would make it a cert.... I think it was obv that some of the City team were still a bit off the pace. It shows a small club mentality when winning the CS by pens after a scrawpy deflected equalizer = winning the most important football trophy in the history of the world....(the fans went mental - even the commentator on the radio said it was OTT) the more i hear from Arsenal fans the more they sound like the Utd fanbase... entitled sanctimonious bitter and grasping at any crumb of comfort to help them pass through their period of little success.

I am Arsenal fan but love watching City. The coach and the players are top quality. Especially in this Match...Rodrigo was myb man of the match. Simply an amazing player. His understanding of the game is amazing

as an Arsenal fan, I can say that the best thing after this match was feeling, that it was a fight between 2 equal teams because last season showed us that we were not on the same level as Man City yet. Maybe we had a lack of Saliba or Zina in defense or some mental force, but it's a fact that we lost both MC matches without any chances. But this season seems to change this and I'm excited for the start of the EPL. It will be a great rivalry

Don't forget Newcastle United, counter-attacking football of ManUtd under ETH which is surprisingly effective against possession based teams like City. Plus they have Rashford who is very effective in counter-attacking football. Liverpool and of course Arsenal. And also Brighton and Hove Albion who is doing great under De Zerbi. i think it is absolutely crazy going for the 100 minutes. On that 100th minute, the City players were slacking off thinking the whistle were to be blown soon. A bit careless. Don't know why Haaland was not kicking in penalty kick. Everyone is still lingering the treble winning. Arsenal did play faster than before. Anyway, a bad start for sure but who cares if City is going to have a good ending. ;-)

Haaland was taken off for Palmer.

Arsenal could be very successful this season, I am more expecting them to make progress in champions league
