Great video John, thanks for the tour. You have inspired us to rip out the grass in our front yard and this winter I will begin construction on the flower beds. We are in Pleasanton which is not too far from you so I believe we kind of have the same climate. Thanks again for putting all of the videos together, I look forward to them each week.

I will grow those in the winter. I do not often grow carrots. Will grow beets more often since I like to eat the leaves.

Amazing! I've got tons of room on my property, and I'm not using nearly as much space as I could! Do you have a whole bunch of kids to eat all that or do you and Mrs. Greensgrower eat all that stuff? I have a hard time eating all that I grow, even with canning and freezing. You're a real inspiration, so keep posting!

Depends if you get sun or not. I would focus on growing in wine barrels.

I'm pretty convinced John started a gardening revolution since the advent of the 15 min KZread video.

Hi John love your garden! Love green Italian figs, but do not like the mess. An old friend of mine from Italy planted his trees years ago, with the exception, he planted them as a border between his neighbors using lattice. Planting and staking as the tree grows into a very long bush tree. What is great is that he lays down tarps along the base, they only place the fruits drops too. I so would love to see your garden, we have a home in family home in Guerneville. I will be stopping by Josh's shop for seasonal supplies in the next couple weeks. I want to turn our front yard into a garden, with our huge water wheel my father in law made.

Strawberries. My problem was ph issues, so I run the water at 6.4ph and use a water meter to ensure no over watering. I have plans to take the 25 babies I grew last season and plant them in a horse trough. The sides and back will have a lattice installed, for new shoots to grow. My Boogie Brew tea keeps them rocking all season, where my small grandson love to come pic berries to eat. :-)

John, regarding your strawberry bed issues, wasn't that the bed you did an experiment on with two different additives when planting? Just wondering if maybe one or both of them were affecting them badly or not.
