Those literates in comments section calling on population control bill, should know the ground reality of fertility rate of Indias different communities, Hindus which constitutes 78% of the population of India have the TFR. of 1.9 which is below the replacement level of 2.1, so the Hindu population is already in decline, meanwhile the TFR. of Muslims is around 2.5, which means almost half of the Muslim families still having more than 2 children. Hope this data will give some reality check to our secular citizens of India. I know these facts are hard to digest for my secular friends but our beautiful diverse country will be the largest Muslim country in 2050.

Taking the aggregate of all the Hindus in India paints a skewed picture as it gets compensated from the southern states. Just break it state by state. Everybody knows the growth rate in Bihar, UP and some states.

It's high time this country starts rewarding people and regions that are contributing to the nation - states with good population control, gdp, high literacy, tax-payers etc. and reduce the mollycoddling of delinquent people and regions who are only a sink for funds.

Delimitation cannot be stopped . Solution is to break northern states into smaller states so no one state has undue influence. Also Rajya Sabha’s power can be increased to have an ability to block laws which seem favouring a particular state.

Delimitation would be disastrous for the country. Political establishment is already one of the biggest employers in the North. Almost every other person is a politician or linked to politics in some way. It is through political influence that most people here grab land, leak papers, grab government projects, and get jobs. North should be treated like a basket case that it really is. It can be just about managed but not improved. And if you leave Northern states to their own devices, they will fall apart like Pakistan. I hope delimitation is further postponed for the greater good.

So many flaws in this logic: 1. The very basis of democracy is equal representation, which like it or not, depends on people/ population, however it is. Shameful to see a colonial/ white saviour-like ideology of 'if left alone, will fall apart'. This very ideology Britain and Europe used as justification to rule India and other African countries, that the local people can't rule over themselves properly. Did Independence turn out to be disastrous according to you as the Goras predicted like you now? Please come out of this mentality 🙏 2. North India's dire condition is not just because of corruption. Southern states have been flourishing on its resources, discriminately because of freight equalization policy. Technically, if they were left so, Southern states owe a big chunk of money to the North🙄. Further back in history, North was always the shield for the south from the ruthless invasions and plunders, which led to flourishing culture, education in the South that we are so proud of, also a major contributor to the Independence movement. So, don't you dare look down on your own countrymen and even think of denying them their constitutional rights! Just like RSS has no right to rally to deny the Muslim population the same even if they are the poorest, uneducated or vulnerable to terrorism. Same for The Tribal population.

Economic performance should also considered in delimitation to balance the problems Many region demand seprate statehood There should be restrictions on revenue expenditure if state is not capable of paying by itself

Some weightage to states' GDP share in the total national GDP should also be given to reach at agreeable delimitaitonto all the states and regions.

This is a " Utopian" philosophy. Ground reality is entirely different. It's a race for survival of the fittest. Mahatma Gandhi's philosophy is ideal but not practical unless ethical values are drilled into our education system. Where there is hate and discrimination there cannot be development and growth in the economy as potential investors shy away from investing money where there is no peaceful environment for businesses to grow and develop and eventually the economy and the country suffers...

So what is the issue if India has the largest Muslim population? Hindus will still be majority if that is your concern. Secondly, no community should reach below replacement rate, it's not good in long term. Divide Uttarpradesh state into two states.We should send CM Yogi Adityanath, CM Nitish Kumar, CM of Madhya Pradesh,CM Mamata Banerjee, CM of Rajasthan,CM of Orissa to foreign countries to attract investment, develop infrastructure, industrial development, generate employment opportunity to their people ,and revenue to their respective states. They should not be dependent on other developed states revenue to be shared by the Central Government.

north india will not tolerate any kind of injustice. 1 person, 1 vote, and constituencies as per population density. Period!! for those saying delimitation, remember India or bharat or aryavrate means north india in real, not dravid region. This is the land of Lord Ram, Lord Krishna, Lord Shiva, Budhha, Mahavir, sikh gurus and most of freedom fighters. this is the land of brave warrior, generals, soldiers and rulers who saved not just the north but the south as well. All the great leaders of Nidia were from north india. even south india is protected by north indian Bravehearts and run by north indian IPS/IAS bureaucrats.

Forget about Religion, RSS etc for a minute, India is the largest populated country on earth. Better control the population across the board now. The resources (infrastructure, land, food, water etc) are limited so the real issue is controlling the population across the country. China had one child policy and finally able to control their population. We need to learn good from others. Have a policy and increase the literacy, automatically in 20-30 years the result will be seen.

Do you know the fertility rate of the 78% of the Indias Hindu population? It is 1.9 which is below the replacement rate of 2.1, and the population of majority is in decline, while the TFR. of the Muslim population is 2.5 which means almost half of the Muslim families are having more than 2 children and that is above the replacement level rate of 2.1, so its a clear fact that the second large majority community is reproducing higher than level which can be considered normal.

The Organiser could focus on educating the Hindi heartland for ensuring better quality of life. It is Education that has transformed the South and NW. Educated Muslim families have fewer children. In the next millenia too the Muslim population will only record proportional increase.. The ORGANISER should stop creating Muslim phobia.

Even if the number of children have come down from 6 - 8, to 3 - 4, it is a great change. Nothing changes overnight. Petro-dollar is what keeps Indian economy vibrant. I am against farther increase of parliament seat until we achieve higher income status. It will rewards poor performing state and discourage state which are working well in woman education and population reduction. It will also significantly alter power dynamic of the union and ultimately may endanger the union.

I think we can do delimitation without reducing seats in South. More seats in North is important for better governance. Problem with large seats is that too much diversity in each seat leads to votebank politics, and governance issues take a back seat. For eg: if there are 3 castes in a seat, then majority caste always wins. So, splitting will give voice to all castes.
