I think it would be a good Idea to pull this video.. While it is a 1911 it's not what you think it is. It looks like one of the prototypes submitted for the contract when standardizing parts.

@@mariomaster217 Then do a follow up.. The fact is that only someone very familiar with 1911's would know what they are looking at. That's rare Americana. I'm sure the guy restoring it had no idea what it was. If he did he wouldn't have butchered it. You are right, I saw a lot of new parts he took out. Maybe don't pull it but make a follow up. I'm sure it would get even more views than the first.. People love a part two..

It's fake for sure. The screws would be more stick with that much pitting. I'd say it was restored previously and then he made it rusty again and then made a video. I have restored a few rusty guns and screws always get stuck. Evaporust isn't going to get the rust between the threads

Not a fake. I 'm not a big fan of the way he did some of the restoration work, but it seems genuine. Evapo-rust is a good product and I've used it many times. Pitting in steel can be spotty depending on how the gun was stored and handled.

I feel like you learned what putting is and called yourself an expert. Also how tf do you fix pitting with a DREMEL? Are you going to go through a dozen heads to even out the entire slide? No one cares if it’s fake or not - people just want to see rust get removed.

I never said I was an expert but I do also know there are ways to "fix"/fill it in

this breakdown kinda seems flawed. With one search I found evaporust. It exists, the point about no change in color was a good point but at that point you are already wrong about the evaporust. Next he didn't check the chamber which is a big deal but it doesnt really expose it. In the next part you basically go and say. You shouldn't do that. Thats stupid. That looks new. As for the ammo. Just because the gun was created 5 years later doesnt mean you cant put bullets from the past in it. America was a war time country they had alot of 45 made, stockpiled. There is most definitely a chance that the bullet could have been bought or stockpiled then found its way into the gun. Later into the video mentioning tampering and other stuff like pitting I think was good but I feel like a start like that can be off putting to people. Goodluck with the channel

Ha no Look I set my content as not ment for kids and I swear alot in my content and I'm not about to change that because I will just swear naturally without a second thought there's a very small filter and also it would be pretty hard to do this considering I've been swearing on this channel for over 4 years and It would be a little weird if I just randomly stopped swearing although and also I play games with my friends who which you might have guessed also swear so yeah sorry not sorry
