Wow. I had no idea the extent to which this cult moved across the leader’s family. Exploitation is the name of the game with this cult. So so many people in need of help, support, compassion, and they are simply used for their money and labor. Great news to learn that this young man got his mom out, and has made sure she is getting the medical care she needs. Endlessly shocking to me that this sci fi evil is labeled by anybody as a “church”.

Rosemary's story is about elder abuse. Why would you use this title. The abuse of scientology would be more important than a massage. The massage was only how the workplace SA started.

Yes, I heard Mike speak about the SA situation with her senior Ron Miscavige Jr. It’s now no wonder why he is the only one of the family that has left but not spoken out. At least I can assume he feels the shame.

How are they not shut down and dragged into court of law for the fraud.

"Gruesome" is the perfect word to describe this evil treatment of elderly SO members who have devoted their entire lives to this cult / business masquerading as a "church".

What a heartbreaking story of how poorly the elderly are treated in Scientology. My mother is elderly living in assisted care and I see her limits over the simplest task. Often, seniors need extra help while being treated with dignity at this season of life when their health starts to fail. My heart breaks hearing about how these seniors had been forced to live. So horrid and disgraceful.

Yes, it is horrible how seniors are treated in this cult. It is horrible how anyone with health or mental health issues are treated in this cult. But no One is Forcing them to stay in the cult. They are Allowing this to be done to them.. These people are willing followers of a cult that makes it clear that they don't agree with medical interventions for almost anything...They are willingly being mistreated...I just don't know how to put it any other way.

Mike, I’m so sorry that your mother was treated so horribly. Your statement that you’d rather be deployed than be back in Scientology speaks volumes. I’m glad that you got her out and are caring for her. Much love to you both.

I am a former resident of Clearwater Florida. I used to observe the Scientologist in their uniforms coming and going - walking from one building to another, getting on their buses going wherever....I often wondered - "where are the Seniors?" Surely there must have been members that were 55+. Where do they hide them?

I think the IRS needs to look into Scientology and any other 'super churches' who have 501c3 status (non profit) The people pay ultimately. I see people like Kenneth Copeland and Joel Osteen who literary have mansion style homes. KC bought a private jet feom Tyler Perry. Its absolutely deplorable to me 😢

Go watch Joel Olsteins recent news interview about the person who was just killed during a service. It's haunting. Someone was just literally gunned down in his megachurch and the guy is happy for some reason. He also takes the time to plug his Spanish speaking service hours and the main event service time as well. It's the craziest thing uve ever seen from one of these charlatans

It'll also get the attention of all the other scientology celebrities that are turning a blind eye. Maybe it'll help the studios to not hire them for their crappy movies. He is on my intercessory prayer list of which I pray over daily. I agree, he is a very compassionate man, which is so refreshing.

If the abuse that happened to this gentleman's mom happened in a senior's facility, people would be arrested. This abuse is not just amoral, it's illegal.

I only know one person who was in Scientology. They dumped her in a hotel room, in a wheelchair, after completely emptying her trust fund, with an advanced auto-immune disease that could have been managed if properly treated at an earlier stage, which they claimed was her own fault. Sickening behavior by a pack of con artists. 😢😢

I noticed that Mike called his Mom by her first name also. But his explanation made sense. So glad they have reconnected in this way.

SO frustrating & unacceptable how this *cult* hiding behind tax-free status benefits from a ‘volunteer’ workforce who eventually burden the taxpayer-funded services in this country & prob elsewhere in the world. XSci’s can protest, write books or scream from mountaintops (& they should) but that’s Checkers. I say play Chess - compile a dossier laser-focused on exposing decades of financial fraud, abuse of tax-free status for profiteering & the deficit it creates which taxpayers have to carry on their backs! Funds that would otherwise support High-risk populations are cannibalized by these gluttonous cults & the ‘truly’ needy go underserved. Take away their status- they’re history. Over the last few weeks I've found myself down the Scientology rabbit hole and have watched a bunch of videos including yours on the mad cult! I don't know whether you've seen the Reckless Ben KZread documentary on the church where they actually get loads of covert footage of the church services, audits, and a lot more footage of the methods that members of the church and auditors use. It's an alarming but very illuminating watch and highly recommend! It really is scary how people get sucked into the organisation. Cheers, Joe

this was so good--full of info, as an outsider i found this riveting & of course it touches upon elder abuse (or 'neglect,' just as bad, mental or otherwise.) i gather cos wouldn't have been making any money off the room where they PLUNKED his mother down then they really didn't kick in past her medicare to provide any kind of robust life . . . sounds like what AWFUL KIDS do to their familiies! also, i hope we aren't seeing 'a break' from meaghan/harry vids b/c i mentioned 'i'm tired of those' in a comment--you know i internalize that!! :) :)
