The global situation is quite ominous. Quite a few psychics and astrologers opine that the environment now is quite similar to what was there during the Hindu epic Mahabharata. The epic's highlight was the Mahabharata war, which saw the death of about 1.63 billion people in a world, where the population of the dominant species was about 8 billion. This was apparently followed by a couple of other wars, which culminated in the total destruction of the then dominant species. The Mahabharata was supposed to have taken place in the previous era of the Hindus, known as 'Dwapara Yuga'. Vedic cosmology talks of time in terms of Brahma days and Brahma years. A Brahma day is subdivided into 2 Kalpas, similar to what we have as "AM" and "PM". One Kalpa is supposed to be for the duration of 4.32 billion human years. This is further subdivided into different time cycles and one of them happen to be the various yugas. We are supposed to be living in the yuga called Kali Yuga and around 5,125 years of this yuga are over. Given the recent strides made in science where the life of the world is estimated at 4.32 billion years, the Vedic time cycle is considered quite plausible from a scientific standpoint. Incidentally, there are great similarities in the Hindu puranas and what is mentioned in scriptures of other ancient religions, including the Torah, also reflected in the Old Testament of the Christian Bible. There are apparently major changes taking place every 5,000 years. We are apparently in the threshold of a major change, which can also be as a result of a major war. Only psychics can help in this environment from preventing a catastrophe.
