Explosive Gunter Finally Reveals Revenge Masterplan!
Getting dumped over the phone is hardly a fate befitting one of the favourite men in the paddock, but that is EXACTLY what happened to Haas team principal Gunther Steiner. In what was a suitably characterful interview at the Autosport International show on Saturday, Gunther revealed just how his exit from the team he put blood, sweat and tears into came to be and was fairly brutal in his delivery of the news. But what of his future? Many fans of Gunther whether due to his hilarious pit-wall interviews during sky’s coverage or quotable drive to survive stardom will want to know the next steps of the ex-team principle, so what can be garnered from the reveals he made, but more importantly, is there any room in the paddock for the now maligned fan favourite?
In today's video we look at Explosive Gunter Finally Reveals Revenge Masterplan!...Keep watching to see Explosive Gunter Finally Reveals Revenge Masterplan!

F1 is a brutal sport, both on track and off. At the end of the day, it's all about results. Given the money involved, team principals and investors have little patience for losing year after year. If he was as popular with sponsors as he is with fans, he would have brought the necessary additional funding to invest in the team. I predict he'll become a race broadcaster or at most a PR director somewhere.

Its pretty obvious HAAS has questsionable ethics. He took on Nakita Mazepin when he needed the $ to survive, then fired him and refused to refund the sponsorship money. Basically fraud. The they get new sponsors based on Gunthers drive to survive stardom and now he fires Gunther so another sponsor is shafted. I would not give a dime to sponsor such a team.

I've noticed a culture change in F1. I hope Günther has a good job up his sleeve, something to keep the Euro atmosphere at the fore. While it's great that F1 has moved into the USA, I'm not that keen that disregard for "people" is such a good thing. Günther lives in North Carolina, so I wonder whether he'll do much less travelling and work within the USA mostly???

As a sponsor in motor sport in America we are grateful for Gene who also is mildly involved in the NHRA. I’m also a “new” fan of F1 and Steiner….however…Gene has been bludgeoned over this move and from a performance standpoint many other team owners would have made the same choice. It’s difficult to raise sponsorship dollars when you never give an ROI on your substantial investment.

He keeps saying the team wouldn't have existed without Gunther. I like Gunther, but he would not have had a team without Haas. No money, no team. I saw an earlier report that they were just under the cost cap, so I am not sure where all the "He didn't spend enough" crap comes from if that is true. Gunther was handed an F1 team and a budget and it was his job to do something with it. I'm sure Gene has a pretty busy schedule with his businesses and other teams. Amazing how everyone was so willing to roll the bus over him. They have done nothing but get worse every year. Who else is to blame? Gene should have given him more money? For what? I thought there was a cost cap in formula 1... I mean really. Here Gunther, here is a boat load of cash, a facility, a salary, go play and see what you can do. That would be a dream to most anyone who has no money to do it themselves...and Haas has to take crap from people who haven't done a damn thing compared to what he has done in life? I don't know much about Haas, and don't really watch any Nascar, so he is just a guy who gave someone with no means to start a team, the means to do so and he is made out to be some terrible person.

Gene Haas always seemed uninterested, and out of touch. Has he even been to ten races since starting the team? And the money issues weren't about the cap on spending, but the sheer lack of it. On DTS, how many times did Geunter have to call Gene after a race to basically say; "We ran your shit cars, with your shit R&D, and both our rookie drivers crashed, so.... We need more money from you.". That's no way to run any kind of business. And it's difficult to believe that Gene is suddenly concerned about results, I think Geunter finally pushed enough of Gene's buttons. Even in NASCAR, Haas racing wasn't doing much until Tony Stewart bought into it. If F1 & FIA can force Haas to sell, I think they should, and let the legendary Andretti name back into ranks!

I love this guy and wish him the best in the future but please let's be real here. The team has been underperforming for years and has lacked both pace and innovation and something had to be done. I don't see things getting better anytime soon but Haas has to make an effort to get better and not keep doing things the same and expecting different results. I'm sure Haas spoke with Ayao and he gave him the confidence to continue with a new direction which will hopefully deliver better results. I know he was a fan favorite and I loved this guy too but other teams did the same thing from lack of results, (see Ferrari and Mclaren) it's the nature of this sport, get results or your out.

It's interesting to note that Guenther became popular by making unintelligent comments on Netflix... Christian Horner fired him back in 2008 because of his lack of competence as a technical director. Also, the way he handled Nikita Mazepin and Mick Schumacher is absolutely unacceptable. I don't see why a team could be interested in him just because he was popular on Netflix; this has nothing to do with F1.
