There's a network of more than a million kilometres of underground pipes and cables running the length and breadth of the UK.
You might remember last year, a viral video going around showing a fencing contractor striking a medium-pressure pipeline, and the ground exploding beneath him. Luckily, he came out unscathed and is now working with LSBUD and Linewatch to spread awareness of the dangers of digging 'blind'.
