Exploring Zagreb with Paul Bradbury - Ficlek (Short Version, Croatian Subtitles)

And some places uphold tradition better than others, and go the extra mile.
Take Gemist, the popular white wine and sparkling wine drink in continental Croatia, for example. Can you tell your gemist from your skropec? And where does the Mussolini fit in?
In the first of an occasional series Exploring Zagreb, Singaporean wine legend Charine Tan joined me at traditional Zagreb eaterie Ficlek, for a guided tour by glass by manager Matej. The full version of this video is available here • Exploring Zagreb with ...

@PaulBradbury probably, according to Wikipedia they were mixing something similar to Coca-Cola before 1953 when Coca-Cola opened the first factory in Spain....some wines are too dry and they mix well with sugary drinks....in Slavonia Frankovka was the wine to mix with Coke

@@PaulBradbury they were mixing wines with similar drinks as early as 1920s
As it can be seen from the dark red colour of his face, Paul was completely drunk by the end of the video. 😆
