Fantastic video thanks Kathy. Spectacular ruins. They are still beautiful. Thanks for taking me along. Please take care
So gorgeous now and in its day. So incredible to how much skill was in the mansion. Incredible video.
Great video. The history is amazing. So glad it is being preserved. Looking forward to our next collab !
Wow!!!! Loved this!! Awesome explore! 🥰🥰🥰
You have the skill, Kathy, to unearth great places 👍
What a great place. So beautiful. And the views they had were heaven. Thanks for the video, we enjoyed it. 🤗
So glad they did not build a power plant there, it is a beautiful place. I see they are continuing to work on the property, the exposed lawn and views of the Hudson were not there when I was there.
The sound of the locomotive horn in the distance seems to suit that place. 🚂
Would you be interested in sharing how you find some of these amazing places? I want to see sights like these and explore the history of abandoned structures that aren't well known but I don't know where to start. I'm in the Pittsburgh area so also if you ever want someone to scout a location over here before you make the trip I'd love to be your contact.

Most of the time, I'm scouring Google Earth. Once I find something, then I dig into the history. Having a TOPO overlay in Google Earth helps, they outline quite a few things that should be there showing a name. You can download a TOPO and activate it in Google Earth. Kind of hard to explain this method though. Websites are another tool. Books, like the one in this video.
It's such a terrible shame to let a place like this go to ruin. Someone should be living there and enjoying it.
