Exploring What They Left Behind... Forgotten About Mine Operation Full Of Stuff!

We explore the Horshoe mine. The primary commodities were gold and silver.
Discovered during the Idaho gold rush in the late 1800s, the mine attracted numerous prospectors drawn by reports of rich mineral deposits. Early operations focused on surface and near-surface deposits, employing methods such as placer mining and simple hard rock techniques.
As the 20th century progressed, technological advancements allowed the Horseshoe Mine to expand its operations. The use of more sophisticated techniques, including deep shaft mining and improved ore processing methods, led to increased output. During its peak production years, the mine extracted substantial amounts of gold and silver, significantly contributing to the local economy and supporting the development of nearby communities.
However, by the mid-20th century, the most accessible and rich ore bodies had been exhausted. This, coupled with fluctuating market prices for gold and silver, led to a decline in mining activities. Increasing operational costs and reduced profitability of remaining ore deposits made continued operations unfeasible. Eventually, the Horseshoe Mine ceased operations.

Quite an adventurous dog. I hope it's aware of nails sticking up from old boards.

At 11:09 you can clearly see an Anvil Stump stuck in the ground with the building collapsed all around it. The stump tells you it was a blacksmith shop and probably used for sharpening drill bits and such.
