Did a blues jam with her on Sundays in 96 in Inman square. She had that voice and everyone knew she would make it

Well deserving Lady , Congrats Susan !

I grew up one town over from her and the greatest regret of my boss at the coffee shop was fumbling the bag with her in the 90s. Whenever "It Hurts So Bad" would come on the radio he'd get this wistful look and stare off into the distance. So glad to see that Susan gets the signature artist treatment, her music is a treasure.

Susan is a miracle of a singer and it's right and proper that she gets such a high honour as as a guitarist too - a real blueswoman, so much feeling and taste in her playing. Her voice + a tele in her hands is such a powerful combination. Some of her playing here reminded me the way Robben Ford sounds when singing with his tele only. Two very different musicians, different skills and talents but the same deep understanding of the language. Thank you Susan for all the wonderful music and vibrations!

Love her non-complicated, simplistic, style blues guitar. I could listen to that all night long . . . . . .

Susan's playing style really showcases the tone and this will be a very successful model. That green is really growing on me. I've seen her and Derek live many times and they never disappoint.

If anyone deserves a signature guitar it’s Susan, she is the true meaning of spirit in music. Compassionate , big heart, so much soul in that voice and her playing. This is so awesome to see! Congrats Susan!!!

Definitely one of the best looking Fender Signature models, and she’s a killer player!

So happy for Susan, how genuinely sweet she is. You cant help but smile while watching this, I see her band every time they come to town, and the last time I saw her play "I Pitty The Fool" She just Killed !! the solo so powerful and emotional just like her superb singing. We've always known about her amazing voice but I think her guitar playing just keeps getting better and better. Congrats Susan Well deserved !!

Wow. What a voice and the way she uses it is lush with vibe.

Long time coming and very well deserved 👏. She really deserves more acclaim and is every bit the equal guitar talent as her more ballyhooed husband.

She mentions Cambridge Music, that's where I got my first (knockoff) Les Paul and my first amp. I loved going in there! It was a small place but it had a lot of guitars. I was like a kid in a candy store whenever I was there. Jim Mouradian's was upstairs, it was sort of an apartment and they had a little repair room. He and his son Jon were really cool, and they knew their stuff! I miss that place, I was so bummed out when they closed.

That neck pickup sounds like heaven indeed 🤤

first time I saw Susan was on Austin city limits with that Teal Telly. I always see her associated with that great guitar. I love all the great music she and Derek have given us. The world is a better place for all you do.

It always cracks me up to hear Susan talk and then belt out a tune. It almost doesn’t sound possible that that gentle voice can suddenly fill a room! 😂 In all seriousness though, congratulations on the signature model! Well deserved!

Congrats to Susan! I saw Tedeschi Trucks Band in Vancouver recently and the thing that stands out the most is nothing. They're all so incredible that no single thing seems above the rest. So. Good.

The Tele neck pickup is very underrated. Perfect blues tone. But all anyone talks about is the bridge pickup.

That color is so cool. I know Fender has had that color on and off but I’m happy it’s back. Every guitarist male or female should own a Tele. The secret is out, the Tele is not only for country music, if that’s your thing all good, but a Tele can play anything. Set up right it’s very fun to play.

What an awesome super cool humble human being! Susan is musical royalty! Loved this video and hearing some of her journey and insight.

As a guy and a purveyor & collector of some high-end guitars, if i ever were to own/play a Fender Sig Series guitar bearing a woman's name it would be this one from SD. A fan for nearly 30 years, she's stood the test of time and has all of the cred that comes with it. (As for a Strat, I could see myself adding a Bonnie Raitt.) Cheers🎉
