I'm in Southern MO. And I love going down to Arkansas for hiking and floating.... I was extremely close to my Grandparents they were more like parents to me. I lost both of them over the last two years or so. So I know exactly what you're saying about not having this forever. I'd recommend continuing to make your family and making memories a priority. You will never regret it.

Glad your back in Arkansas and doing something with your dad. I live in Fayetteville Arkansas in one of the older communities for 38 years. Main reason for this comment is the cicadas Most come out every 17 years but some every 13 years. This year both are arriving. Something that does not happen but once in a lifetime. Anyway if you could do video of this happening anywhere in Arkansas "Where the Cicadas Sing" I think would be great. Sorry to rip off the title of a movie. Which actually was a very good movie. .

Beautiful area! Love the water falls and trails. ❤ I'm glad that you still have your dad to hang out with. My dad used to take me for nature hikes I'd call them when I was really young. He'd get upset with me for getting into the poison ivy and oak all the time. 😅 He died from cancer when I was 18. I cherish the memories of my time spent with him. I've always enjoyed walking and being outside in nature because of him. I love him and miss him. Enjoy every moment you have together. Like someone else said I bet he's really proud of you.

It’s nice to be out in the Ozarks hiking in the beautiful weather. That old cellar you found with the old mason jars is typically an old spring house where people kept their bottled goods and cold from a spring source running through and they were the original refrigerators before today’s refrigerators existed. Driving through the backroads of Arkansas makes me want to take a trip there because of the beautiful scenery.
