Exploring the North West by Train DAY 1
Фильм және анимация
Day 1 of my vlog series, Exploring the North West by Train. 06/01/20. Here I visit Wigan North Western, Euxton Balshaw Lane, Leyland, Preston, Buckshaw Parkway and Chorley. Enjoy! The video turned out longer than I expected, but what can I say? I just can't crop out anymore of ma sexy face haha. See if you can count how many times I say 'You-xton' and 'roundabout' lol. Oh and gotta point out... that's vegan mayo!

So nice to see a fellow female rail enthusiast! You’ve just got yourself a new subscriber! 😊

Aye trains are the best! Thanks a lot! 😄
Happy two-year anniversary of this video being uploaded! Right from this very first day, the whole "Exploring the North West by Train" series is fantastic (as are all of G's other videos too). Be warned though: if you sit down to watch just one video from this series, it's highly likely that you'll end up watching loads of them in a row

Just watched this … yes I know … tardy to the party. Absolutely loved it!! So refreshing to see someone talk normally in a rail video! By that I mean … no frills or airs or graces …. This is the way I talk / get over it!! I love it. Anyone who uses the phrase ‘frig me what a filthy bugger of a train’ is going to win my heart! Also love the rawness of it … you’ve just gone with it. Your enthusiasm is infectious - as was your cold I’m sure! Love it, and sorry I’m late x

The 319's went to Brighton when I lived there as a very young child and I remember them being alright haha.
For a first Rail Vlog, it was brilliant, very informative and entertaining. I honestly cannot wait for the next one.

Thank you for sharing your journey. I am a recent subscriber & have just started watching this series. So far, I am really enjoying it. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest.
Oh my! I told you I was going to follow this series! I watched the first and last installments now, 44 more episodes to go. I might be a while. We are not fond of round-a-bouts over here either. Most guys have big four-wheel drive trucks with big tires and huge crash bumpers on the front. At least they feel a bit safer. Stay healthy over there! Cheers, Danny 😃🚄🚉
Yep, this vlog series is gonna get watched to the hilt. "bye bye filthy bugger" might just be a slogan in the making for one particular train operater. Informative and bursting with enthusiasm.... and a healthy disade of double entendres to boot! Great stuff!
Ahh! Just discovered your channel and you're amazing! I'm based in the North West too and love trains and visiting all the platforms. Keep up the content, I'd love to do what you do 💕
Love your KZread videos. They're very entertaining, informative and enjoyable to watch. Can't wait to watch your next video.

It’s the raw punk spirit on display in these first vlogs that make them special for me. It’s almost like G has come straight from hanging out in the shelter in the park, straight onto this stage here, ready to dazzle us with her magnetic personality. The videos are edited, the personality isn’t. It’s here in all its natural brilliance right from the start… ready to take us on a journey. Not just the literal journey of exploring the North West of England by Train… but the parallel journey we go on with her, as video by video, we get to know her a little bit better each time. We watch her grow in confidence and knowledge; from the young girl who struggles with the concept of unstaffed stations on Day 1, to the young woman who - less than two years later - has the confidence to happily (ecstatically in fact!) spend three nights alone residing on such a station in the wilds of the Cumbrian countryside. On the way between these two points we experience many things. We suffer with her and share her indignation when she gets shouted at by a ‘weirdo rude-ass’ Transpennine conductor; we share in her innocent delight when she becomes enraptured by the ‘snowy mountains’ at Greenfield; we laugh - and boy do we laugh! - as she performs for us again and again the skit that is - and I still can’t imagine how she ever thought of it - The Knicker Song, which no publicity agent or advertising executive could have come up with such is it’s genius and originality. And then there are the more heart-rending moments like Winstanley College (Day 11) and Blackburn Ice Arena (Day 19). Big emotional reveals into her past struggles to find friendship and love, which any remotely sensitive viewer can’t help but be moved by. I’m sure G in her modesty would probably say something like: I just make videos…. But to me there is something more here. What we are witnessing here in these first vlogs is the birth of an artist, expressing her very essence through what she loves; no more no less. Reet…. I’ll get me coat....
Happy 1 year of making vlogs G! Very entertaining to Watch and very funny too!

Loving your videos and it's great to see the North West from your perspective. I have two questions though. 1) I'm trying to pick your accent. I'm not from the UK, so not very good with local accents yet, but trying to learn them so I can identify them more. Can I ask what your accent is? 2) This is a bit of a weird one, but I'm an information architect which is why I love to think about these questions... I'm interested to know what area you refer to as the North West. Unlike states or counties, there is no single definition. (this could also be a quiz question if you ever do those things). By North West, do you mean... a) The government's version of the NW (which includes Cumbria all the way up to the Scottish border) - but hardly anyone uses this b) The BBC's definition of the NW (which excludes Cumbria, but instead adds the Isle of Mann) c) ITV's definition of the NW (also known as Granada) (which still includes the Isle of Mann, but only the bottom bit of Cumbria and a small bit of Northern Wales) d) a corporate version of the NW - crazy as it sounds, many companies and government organisations have their own borders which are different to the above (from Ticketmaster to the Crown Prosecution Service) Yeah... it's a weird question, but does raise an eyebrow...
