Exploring "The Little Apple" - Manhattan, Kansas

I finally made it to Manhattan, "The Big Apple"...Er, I mean "The Little Apple" Manhattan, Kansas.
After nearly 6 years of living in the Midwest (before that the Western states all my life), I was able to explore Manhattan and see what life is like in this beautiful town on the plains. To my surprise there is more to this town than I had originally thought. It has town signage on the hills (yep there are hills), eclectic neighborhood hangouts, viewpoints, flowing rivers, and a thriving downtown chock full of old brick buildings.
Check out this short video.

Was there at Fort Riley from 89-92. Isn’t Last Chance Saloon there anymore? I miss me some western Yahoo subs at Rock a Belli. People that don’t like Manhattan are suspect to me. I loved the city.

It’s still standing but it’s no longer the last chance saloon. It’s called Yard Bar now. Still a top location

I am at the mercy at what free music I can find online. Seems like a lot of what I seem to find is slow, pensive, saddening songs like this.

No the sad music is perfect! Sad music for a sad town! This place is the absolute WORST! It’s a living nightmare and I never want to step foot in that town again... ever!

@@flexibledreamer7846 Manhattan is a great community. I lived there for many years. I now live in San Diego, with very fond memories of Manhattan.
