I hope you see this as it is a bit old. I really like the series you are doing, keep up the good work! A few tips that I have noticed from watching other youtubers and video editing: Whenever you are purely building with no speech (like in the beginning of the vid) do a time lapse and or raise the music vol for that section. Recording something (discussing your plans on how to progress, laying out challenges and obstacles plainly, talking about what you have and what you still need) overlayed also works well. I forget what book I read that had this quote "there is nothing worse than dead air" or "dead air equals a dead (radio) station" Narrating the challenge you are currently facing before you encounter/enter it. (It is going to be tight navigating the ship since I have a time limit, ok we have to quickly dive down super far and grab those rubies and return to the ninja. Etc) Showing off and explaining some of the modded content (explaining unexplained mechanics, telling what modded items do) Describing if you are low on a resource to give context to your struggle. So the audience knows the stakes Graphics are something I see often and find improve the quality of the video, but certainly are not needed. (I am talking about visuals. A map briefly put up or in the corner when talking about a destination or location of a resource. A traveling icon on map when exploring to give a sense of scale. List of resources you currently have. Not screen quality graphics) I was in a stream of a content creator that I liked and they were talking about how they try to craft narratives for their episodes. I realized that was one of the reason why I liked their videos so much and why they were so much more engaging. I am not entirely sure if that is applicable to your videos, but I figured it was good advice to share! These I am not sure are good ideas, but figured I would share. In editing put (could just be cropped from the item list in game) a short indicator of how many parts of an item you have scanned/still need to scan for a short time (5-10 seconds) as you mention the items. Or at the start of the episode have a few of the notable ones (cyclops bits, prawn + arms, seaglide etc) off to the top left corner. A short recap of what you did last ep (kind of like a "previously on" sort of thing) for added context for the ppl who watch only the newest one rather than all at once. However this is definitely a larger stylistic choice that may not fit what you wish to show. Also if you get another seamoth would you mind naming it Luna? (Look up lunar moths, they are so pretty and have a great color scheme!)

Thanks for the feedback! i truly cannot thank you enough for the great comment, and i will try to apply it. The problem is mostly time, since putting the quality that you describe in videos would take me alot more time, but the narrating and explanations would be great! I usually ramble on though, so i cut it out in most of the video because i think it would be boring to just hear me talk about "ughh annoying thing x y and z etc" and i kinda wanna keep viewer engagement but ill try to perhaps extend the next amount of videos! I could try to do something with a story, but ill need to see if i am creative enough to make one that can apply (perhaps ill take inspiration from Neebs Gaming, who had a great story they made in subnautica) but it all takes time. I could pull this off if i maybe uploaded less, lets say once a week, but its not sustainable to do on the semi-daily basis. But seriously, thanks for the great feedback!

My very first seamoth was named Luna, and she was a beautiful pale green. She served me well, distracting a reaper while I swam to safety. I've tried to name other seamoths the same, but it never feels right. You never forget your first, I guess. 🥲 RIP, my Luna.

That hollow knight boss music is so fitting when getting near the reaper

the air filtration system roaring to life is in fact not a bug, but intended so you don't need either a lot of oxygen tanks or to run back to your seamoth constantly. I've done aurora with a seaglide and 3 extra oxygen tanks. Also, how have Reapers not chased you at all? I know that a seaglide is slower, but still... Hell, a reaper even followed me all the way into the aurora, clipping through the solid ground, giving me a mini heart attack. Also had a Reaper go through the ENTIRE ISLAND to get me on the other (gun) side. Didn't think subnautica could scare me so much again :') For clarification, creature aggression was set to hard.
