Exploring the 4MS Looping Delay!!

Музыка

In today's video I'm checking out the Looping Delay from 4MS. This is a super tight digital delay which has way more features than it's simple front panel suggests. Join me as we check out clocked delays, karplus strong, send and return, and more!

My quick take on this was just how approachable this delay module is, very straightforward. But with everything modulatable, seems like it works well for both simple and complex sounds. I really like how you walked us through the layers as well. Thank you!

Great demo as always. I think it's the combination of a few different effects that make it sound really interesting. Delay send/return loops are one of the best things for sound design though! Modulation effects like flangers tend to get out of hand easily but pitch shifters/frequently shifters are fun. Working with software has the advantage that you can use plugins too, so stuff like Digitalis or granular fx get really wild too. P.S. For anyone that wants to try this without buying hardware, Chronoblob in VCV Rack does most of the same features, and Hora Millennial does the Karplus-Strong thing with very similar results. Cheers! 👍

Always scotched by your un-name, and the wood table, the green plant, the very old fashion eurasian fabric (three thousand years design as far we know!)... More I'm scotched today with this module that also join my proper philosophy, I'm not modular yet, because money and building my complicated rack box, mix style for either a 2600 or semi-modulars Behringer, or my old instruments, as such a SH 2000, my modular part will be just what you shown today, effects, if I can, analogic ones, midi tracks, perhaps some sequencing but, so slow, that with such that delay, I don't need, I prefer my Roland MC 500, for midi tracks, can't imagine what's that gives me with such a slow delay. So I appreciate a !ot this video, and your channel is always a recreation that goes far from just a technical presentation. Love.

The beginning sounds like part of the "Nick Arcade" theme song from Nickelodeon. They played a part like that when players were moving around the game board. The host would always sing along to the rhythm.

So far all I get it screeching and squeals with the Send Return in my DLD which sucks because the filtered sounds are great.

I imagine you could get some interesting degradation effects putting Data Bender in the send/return loop?
