Exploring Tangier and Cap Spartel, Morocco. Things YOU might want to know if you're planning to go.
In May 2024 my good friend and cinematographer, Brad Cooper and I were invited to participate in a documentary project in Morocco for our friend Rachel who’d received a Fulbright scholarship to research a dying culture, language and music. Having never been to Morocco or even Africa, I jumped at the opportunity. While it wasn’t a vacation exactly we did manage to find some time to explore.
The culture and history are rich and quite interesting. However, even if you've done some traveling, Morocco is a little different in some key ways. What we learned might be of some use.

Tajine is Moroccan not north african ,don't get fooled by wikipedia ,it's heavily edited by our neighbors ,the moment you leave Morocco ,it will be hard to find tajines

Oh interesting. Actually my doctor and his family are from Egypt and when I told him I was going to Morocco he said I had to try the Tajine. I guess I figured it was a regional thing.

@@AtomSmithMusicRecently, history has been hijacked and distorted by political regimes in the North African region whose mentality is still living in the era of the Soviet Union. The media propaganda mentality distorts and steals the wealth of a kingdom that has existed for 12 centuries of history. You can feel this in most Moroccan cities.
