Adventure Elliot is a bilingual travel vlogger (English and Spanish) with a particular interest in the Spanish speaking world. I enjoy taking adventures - big or small - and my goal is to show the Spanish speaking world 1 video at a time.
The goal of my channel is simple yet complex: I want to document and share authentic & educational content of anything related to Adventure Travel, Geography, & Language in the Spanish-speaking world. It's kind of a loaded topic, but it allows me to never exhaust my creative outlets. The truth is, I've always been extremely passionate about what I'm doing on my channel, but I never properly documented it when I started adventuring as a younger man in my college years. I've made over 150 KZread videos in both English and Spanish, and I have aspirations to make 1000s more. If that sounds interesting to you, join the community and follow me along the way.. After all, we're just getting started.

There is a channel of a Finnish woman who lives in Spain, her channel is called sini and in one of her videos she said that phonetically Basque was very similar to Finnish I told her that after almost 200 years of Visigothic rule something had been copied from us although I think that the Basque country was never taken over by the Visigoths.

It has a lot of similarites with the Iberian language too. Unfortunately it's a dead language with no connections to latin, like the basque language. Makes it difficult to crack the language code.

You may find interesting that Castillian Spanish was born in an area spanning the current Burgos, Vizcaya and Álava provinces, that is, the origin of Castillian Spanish is the romance language spoken by Basque-speaking populations. This is why the phonetics of Castillian Spanish is so much simpler (or archaic) than that of other peninsular romance languages (such as Catalan or Galician). All those neutral vowels are impossible to pronounce for a true Castillian speaker (and proud of it 😅). Essentially and ironically, considering much later language wars, "castellano" was invented by Basques.

Actually the only two regions in Spain which had an industrial revolution (19th century) were the Basque country and Catalonia. The rest of Spain was kept in a semi-feudal state relying on agriculture, due to large tracts of land belonging to the nobility. There has never been any land reform in Spain (as there was in England, which is why England in divided into so many small plots that you can see from a plane) which is why large tracts of land in Spain continue to belong to the same noble families. This is also why so many small towns and villages all over Spain have emptied as agricultural mechanization has overtaken manual labour, and of course when we joined the European Union it put an end to small farrms due to animal quotas, etc.

Sorry but Spain is better, in almost all😃. France only have European Continental Nature & Meditrraneam in the S. West. Spain has that and much more i.e. Continental, Meditrranean, Cantabrian-Atlantic, Plateau, All Types of Forest, Mountains & High Mountains (being one of the most mountains countries in Europe), Snow, The Best Beaches of Europe, Archipelagos & Paradisiacal Islands, even Deserts, Subtropical Forest & Volcanoes, etc...etc... Spain has the Climate, Geography, Nature and landscapes with the greatest Diversity and Biodiversity in All Europe, So.... Spain nature wins.
