However, for applications requiring a fusion of communication and sensing capabilities, a different waveform is necessary, and OTFS (Orthogonal Time Frequency Space) emerges as a solution by leveraging the delay-Doppler domain. The delay-Doppler domain offers support for both sensing and communication tasks, presenting numerous benefits such as simplified mitigation of fading and interference issues.
