Please keep exploring old abandoned Minecraft servers, it is so interesting to see how minecraft has changed and the forgotten history of its older players. Definitely one of your best videos, hope it becomes a series. Keep up great content! P.S Thank you for putting subtitles in every video, makes the viewing experience for me even better!
this video is like an ancient archivist showing you the constructions and lore of places that existed before time, but the person who they're talking to is a gen z with adhd

6:43 This just reminded me of the one time I thought Herobrine was real and in my game, it was because I started a new word with the "bonus chest" option enabled and I didn't understand what it was, so I got scared when I found this random chest and thought it was from Herobrine

I highly appreciate you taking the time to showcase these "forgotten" servers. It's not only nostalgic to watch minecraft in alpha/beta, but it's also very interesting to see how building has progressed as minecraft developed. I mean I have difficulty concentrating on videos in general, but I was glued to the screen throughout this entire video! Please do more of these videos!
I used to play Minecraft so much back in 2012-2016, this video reminded me of the good old days

Oh man that's crazy, I've been looking for this server for a long time and thought they had been offline for years. I recognized that spawn immediately, I used to play here occasionally when I took breaks from 2b2t in 2012-2014 until I was banned for cheating.
its so sad that so many servers were abandonded

its only natural. its like life and death. every server will die out one day but its best we have the best time on our favourite servers before they die out
I loved going on old servers, finding abandoned bases, taking a few armour pieces and only what i needed to survive so i could go out and explore other long lost relics
I started playing Minecraft in 2018 but watched content about it since 2015 this gives me chills to see old worlds/servers like that still intact (most of the time).
The old and abandoned Minecraft servers are kinda like virtual liminal spaces in a way, because the sheer emptiness and lifeless nature of them give off that eerie feeling as a result. As if the players who once occupied and roamed the servers just suddenly disappeared and left everything behind untouched.
Anyone else not realise the vid was 1hr and 20 min until the intro said “a documentary”? 🤣😭
I am on a nostalgic binge myself playing Minecraft Xbox One edition. The villages are so rare but the world I loaded up has water monuments everywhere and 3 mansions within a 5,000 block radius. It's crazy. This was before the ocean update . For some reason the abandoned mineshaft chests are empty. I hope that isn't the case for all loot cuz I would be screwed out of getting any saddles.
This feels like me exploring my old minecraft worlds from 2014, like a time capsule of what people did back then.
what saplow is doing for minecraft history is absolutely incredible
0:00 love the video from here until the end
loved the vid, very cool and just overall chill idk i liked it. Would be cool if u make more chill and slow content like this. Also was interesting to see things from this early of the internet, the thing with the big youtuber's base finding was very cool! i would never expect myself knowing that. This may not target ur main audience but i hope u will still make more vids like this!
Saplow: Help I’m gonna die! Zman: *bodyblock.*
That first server, that's the shit I remember growing up on. The golden age. The good old days. Home.
people that leave servers up are wholesome owners.
Honestly an amazing video. Really enjoyed the way you kinda immersed the viewer into such a quaint but interesting space. Props to your fantastic guides as well! All the best and take care!
Alien116 died to gravity on my 10th bday lmao
This is actually so interesting ! I truly hope you will continue this type if content even though i dont think it will be as popular as the other ... Anywaus, very good stuff ! The video was like watching a time capsule or museum or something. Loved to hear these tales of people lore hunting/history hunting in abandonned servers and these guys that got servers for litteral years... Amazing amazing video ! ❤
I absolutely love old Minecraft servers it’s so cool to see them still up after so many years
I love seeing old Minecraft’s abandoned buildings❤❤❤
Its usually hard for me to focus on one thing for more than like 20 mins (bc adhd n stuff) but this got me super hooked for some reason, really cool video! I couldve honestly watched another 1 or 2 hours of this, it's so interesting to see what people built back in 2012 and their ideas n plans
Fantastic work on capturing the old Minecraft experience, I am glad there’s still history around to look at and study how creative people were. Being an old Minecraft player myself, I would often go into creative plot creation and build a diamond fortress as a kid.
This video makes me wanna try and recover my old pocket edition worlds
looking at all this from old minecraft, it makes me yern for simpler times, the days that i would rush home from school to play minecraft with my best friend, those were the days, RIP young me, and RIP old school minecraft
Such a blast from the past. Stuff that even I didn't know was on Legion.
awesome video dude, and it was really cool of that admin to give you guys a tour for the last one!
Some of the old builds are giving me ideas I would've never considered otherwise. I'm so excited to see more of this
33:56 roses by kanye west playing in the background was genius
This brings a feeling of joy knowing that people are conserving og builds and works. This is just giving me old bedrock and 360 vibes. Love the nostalgia from watching zman walk into old houses.
I love seing people's old servers, and how they got more and more and more creative with their builds, W work man
Seeing all those abandoned Servers makes me really sad...
This was a genuinely fantastic and heartwarming video. It was really chill the entire time, I loved it. More like this would be so cool. Thank you for making this!
I love this video style, would love to see more like it from you!
I dont know if it is aesthetic or what about your videos, but you remind me of me playing this game in 2013. good times.. keep up with the videos. I LOVE IT !
zman has been cooking fr. He's literally the goat.
I love these old school lore servers but its also sad seeing them dead. Its like those abandoned cities that you see occasionally that were once full of life and fun and are now just a time capsule.
This is definitely a great video. Love the new style content.
This was super cool make more of these please
Mighty fine good watch, loved getting to look back into time

These are really cool to look at , but i kinda feel bad for the owner that just keeps losing money for having the server up
As someone whos addicted to internet history AND old minecraft stuff, i already know this video is gonna be a blast also, Saplo wthe goat
Man now I wish the servers I played on 10 years ago were still up to explore
5:42 I think the signs still do spawn, I've made a few at my base
I love how we as humans do our best to preserve history, even in video games. Humanity is still beautiful even though we’re acting ugly right now. Be Smoove Beautiful Humans! I’m finna smoke and go to bed.
I never played on a server with other people before, and this video makes me kind of sad to see so many of them just,.... abandoned. I guess human history repeats itself even in games like this.
I'm into Minecraft since december 2010 and I remember watching KZread let's plays all night long, when I discovered it. I bought the game in Aplha, because at Beta it was going to get a bit more expensive, and even created a PayPal account specifically to buy Minecraft. I remember some of the oldest quirks in the game, and also I had an idea of flower pots and trapdoors. I made some basic drawings on paper, but didn't knew who to contact to give my ideas back then. 💪 Minecraft for me is still a bit like then. I did not follow many updates since like 2011-2012, so many game mechanics are still new to me. Man, I still have never been to End, never spawned Wither. I know a bit what to expect, but that's it. I sometimes use chunkbase, but I lately I feel like it's ripping me off of the world exploration part, so am considering to stop using it at all. What's the point in logging into the world only to tick some points on the map and be gone with it in a few hours? Anyway, sorry for this rant. It was cool to see some really old stuff on the server, especially that I can remember similar things myself.
This is like watching yters doing abandoned locations. There should be books of the history of Minecraft!
these vids make me want to play old minecraft now, wuld love to see more vids like this ^_^
abandoned places give me such weird vibes i don't know how to explain it. like lost potential. it's eerie.
Awesome The stuff around @1:04:00 is very interesting as well as the rest of the vid, servers and builds.
bruh….im 24 and seeing this makes me feel 54😂💀 last time i truly played minecraft was between 1.7 and 1.8. i remember coming back and seeing all this new shit added and was so confused. wild

this video style is so nostalgic!
You gotta revisit that last server in the future

Dude that knight skin gave me some Nostalgia. That’s from one of the Battle & Beasts skin packs if I’m not mistaken ?
*cough* I may or may not have left Vatican City unfinished for the past... 8 years or something. At least you didnt have to see my godawful obsidian/sandstone build which was the first house in Vatican. I tore that horror down when I started the reimprovement project, something like 4 years ago lol
Love you Zman! Love the content keep it up! ZmanArmy4Life!
gotta say any video edited with a pink floyd theme is always gonna do well!
there are so many servers i was on from like 2012 to 2018. those were my most active minecraft days. and my first year of minecraft was on my brothers account, so there are some servers that dont have my account name in the log because of that fact

If you're mad about the off-center stone texture, you should know your cursor is offset on your screen too
It's crazy to think that people hid bases on these servers that will never be touched again and the only person who knows where they are is the one who built ir..wild to think about
Is there a Server world archiver to preserve the minecraft server history?
loved this video, this type of content is nice
Let’s bring these servers back to life.
