The miniature railroad was interesting, as I love miniatures, but you puppeting the deer and the mountain lion made me laugh so hard I choked on my own spit.
I really enjoyed puppet theater with the skulls lol.
You were having a little too much fun with puppeting the deer and the mountain lion skulls lol. I totally didn't expect that. I was laughing so hard. 😂
So beautiful

He looked so happy playing with his train. LOL Thanks Jacob 👍🏻🇬🇧
Been on holiday for a week got back the other day and have just caught up on over 4 hours worth of TCB. No regrets.
Fascinating museums; love the Balboa Park area.
I love you Americans. You have taken the Man out of the “Museum of Man” But still have “Mummies” in the exhibition. I don’t know why that made me laugh?

There are no ancestral remains in the exhibit.
That episode of Bob's burgers did air . They were accused of using the corpse from Mort's mortuary as meat. Bob's burgers never served or ate human meat

That was such a great episode.
In the Egypt exhibit there are probably no human mummy's because in the middle ages and up to the 1800s people would grind up mummy's to use as medicine or to make a type of paint that I think was called mummy brown.
I miss hearing the bells from the Museum of Man. Beautiful memories. Thank you for bringing me home Jacob. ❤️
This is a great museum and et al. Enjoyed your handling of the talkng skulls. Glad yyou did a good tour of some of these museum.
Website is still up. What an amazing idea.
Grandson and I loved the model train museum great video
Very cool, trains were awesome 🚂🚂🚂🚂🚞🚞🚞🚞😆😆😆
I just moved in my apartment in October. Now I have a few places , thanks to you, to go.❤😊
The trains were great, loved Citizen Kane, incredible movie😎my husband would love to be paid in beer 🍺 lol. The tags of the people who lost their lives is so sad. Talking skulls very cool 😊
Wow, that model train exhibit really made me miss Roadside America... I grew up going there and I used to stop there every time I made the trip between NJ where I grew and SC where I live now... Even my kid got to go before it closed... Remember those huge, creepy Amish people statues..? We have a great model train display here in Greenville, SC called Model Train Station... You should totally come check it out... It's have a fun, cool little city...

It made me think of Roadside America, too! I didn't know it closed. How sad.
Back in the 80s the Hari Krishnas would hang out in Balboa Park trying to recruit people into their religion. You should also go to the San Diego Air & Space Museum. That's where the Sea Dart is at the entrance to the Museum.

Good stuff Who doesn’t like a good museum
I LOVE the Model Train Museum! The intricate details from the buildings, people, and trains going through small towns and large cities. It makes me miss small town America. Love this Jake!
I love that model railroad museum. Wow that area was pretty empty when we visited many years ago.
Thank you Jacob . Your videos make So Many people truly Happy and forget their problems for a little while as they Remember Wonderful memories and times gone by. YOU are Loved by All .. The Trains are amazing I've the museum and your insights and knowledge on the topics. Blessings for continuing Goid health and Safe Travels..Sending Lot's of Love ❤️ from Tammy R.
Hey Jacob! SD native here and I love your perspective on Balboa Park. As many times as I have been over the years I still always find something new about the area that intrigues me. I have always considered it to the crown jewel of SD and am proud to from here.
Awesome video, Jacob. Enjoyed the train museum and the model trains.
Very beautiful park and buildings.
Hi Jacob cool museum love trains and then other stuff they show, it looked neat. Thanks again for sharing. Take care.😎📸

Miniatures are so fascinating. The amount of creativity and skill they have . We have a model train and Lego museum in Gulfport Mississippi. It is currently being extended to add more exhibits. Thank you for sharing
If you live in San Diego they also have a FREE day during the week, were residents can visit several attraction in the park for FREE (Zoo not included, but Military can enter for FREE if in uniform. I always just bring a change of clothes)
Pigeon sauce. Your so funny Jacob thank you so much for the adventures.
Yes haha you probably picked the busiest time of year! February is museum month in San Diego! They give free/discounted admission
LOVE Post Secret... I still go to the website every Sunday and its updated every Sunday and I went to a few PostSecret events
Def one of my fav places in this city. That’s actually not too many folks, it gets a lot worse of free museum days and during events. Those signs are especially there since we had a incident where college kids partied in the massive koi pond infront of the botanical gardens and killed all the koi and absolutely wrecked all the flowers around it. Botanical gardens were good tho ^^
Hey. Loved the live stream last night! Hope your trip goes well
Xanadu was based on Hearst Castle in San Simeon in Northern California. Hearst at one point tried to keep Citizen Kane out of theaters because he felt slighted by Welles' depiction of Kane.
Just made it to the animal skull puppet show and I'm dying....🤣🤣🤣
OMG the talking skeleton heads🤣 MuarhhahHAHHAHAHAAaaaaa💀
I went to the cambridge university museum of zoology today with the school i work at and they had a penguin alot taller than the 1 you mentioned
Really enjoyed seeing the museums! Loved the model trains! so neat to interact with the displays. A great way for a family to spend a day out together.
In the 1800's they used to burn mummies in egypt to keep warm. Also the brithish used to buy them and do unwrapping parties.
@SpudyGun

We imported mummies by the boatload to turn into fertiliser, mainly mummified cat’s and other things but it’s still a very ghoulish past. Mummies were a prescribed medicine at one time in Europe we used to grind them up. History is a very strange place to visit.
Can we get a 1 hour video of laughing animal skulls?

Enjoyed replay thanks for sharing your channel ❤
Love the architecture.
loved this, so hilariuos at times!
This video beautifully demonstrates what California was and what it has become.
your skull show lmao
Oh oh what's that car doing 🤣🤣 Jacob Jacob you crack me up my guy. Stop playing like you've never heard of hydrochloric system bud, your not that much older than me 😆.
Incredible rails!
Jacob I know you like filming things that are world records like the world's largest or world's smallest. Right there at Balboa Park is the world's largest outdoor pipe organ. There are concerts there all the time. If it's being played while you're there you should film it since it's a world record.

@@TheCarpetbagger we had no idea way the museum was about when we first went in, and there was the beer exhibit in the front, so I legit thought it was like, a museum of manliness 🤣
You should go to the Jelly Belly factory in Fairfield, CA one day
The model trains reminds me of trailer park boys when bubbles stole the model train of Patrick Swayze it was called the Swayze Express lol
When it comes to your videos, I can tell the difference between, when the video is just you alone and you and your girlfriend, besides having her in it, I'm talking about the camera work.
Hey Carpetbagger maybe when you start heading east again, make a stop in Vegas and see if Omega Mart has changed the two years since you've been there?
There's a song by country artist John Anderson, called Chicken Truck😂. Appreciate the reminder🎸🎤🎵
Any plans to return and visit the other museums at Balboa Park?
Oooh! I've got one. The sabretooth cat should have an overpowering lisp. "I have a dentitht appointment in a few minuteth. Then I go thee my thpeech pathologitht."
I think the black bear might just be sun bleached. A lot of old taxidermy stored in bright areas tends to go that blonde color
The spike dog collar should be against the law imo 😢
I'm quite sure when you look at wood, it is akin to Neo looking at the Matrix.
When it came to the getting paid with beer Sigmund of the video, I don't think that the people were drunk in any way, while working, I feel, that they were drinking after work and if they were not drinking, I feel that they use the beer, for other things. I feel that the slaves have families and the beer was been used as a tool, that's what I think.
Post Secret is still a website
Mummies fueled locomotives. A number of American newspapers in the 19th century reported that Egypt’s nascent railway system used mummies as fuel for locomotives, allegedly due to the lack of other combustible resources.

Calling this museum, the museum of mankind would have worked right as a description of its function , yea
That museum seems like it’s really promoting cannibalism 😅
It's a shame thet removed the mummies.
That person walking back and forth on the phone behind the trains kinda ruins the illusion... not your choice, I know.

I've watched the Bobs burgers pilot episode a few times. Tina was originally a boy named Daniel. The pilot episode was more like something that you would have seen on Adult Swim. The first 3 seasons have a different feel to them because they are much more controversial and feature adult topics.

Close down all the museums in California because someone is going to be offended by something
The new name sounds too pop culture for the setting. It's kind of a massive mismatch. I'd undo the change and just have a nice plaque explaining that man is is the most inclusive name, us is too exclusive because it implies a them. Us is othering. Man includes women etc.
