I'm 63. My father took my picture in front of that entrance back in the early '60s.

Great video. This is the kind of stuff I like to do but haven't been lately because I've been sitting on my butt complaining. All the good stuff is always hidden in the nooks and crannies and out-of-the-way places.

I drive I78 through that area. There is a section at the top in which my satellite radio goes dead for a few seconds because of the large amount of iron in the rock!

Easiest way to get there is to park in the phillipsburg high school parking lot and walk down the hill and on the way you can see a second entrance that was collapsed

Grew up in Delaware Park in the 70s and 80s, played here often. Remember it being very mysterious and quite the party Area for local hippies 😁

Such a shame to see graffiti and rubbish lying around in such an outdoor treasure. I will never understand what folks get out of desecrating the natural beauty of mother earth.

It could have been a lot worse. Phillipsburg can be kind of sketchy.

Hi, I have been following your videos for awhile now and really enjoy them. My question is, aren't you afraid that you might run into a bear or some other wild animals when you go into these caves and mines? You mentioned that bears will be hybernating now. How do you know one wouldn't be in there? Please be safe.

maybe all the bears were frightened off by all the mining way back when.

wow aren't you afraid of a bear hibernating there? the whole place looks like a bear could show himself any minute. I would be seeing one behind every tree. brave Cliff.
