My Grandma lives in Kona. I grew up visiting the Big island throughout my childhood. I just visited her and the big island last summer for 10 days which was a blast. Absolutely love the big island - its definitely the best island, in my opinion.

In my opinion 3 days is a little bit too short. The Big island is well... BIG 😆 In fact you can fit all the other Hawaiian islands into the Big Island because it is so massive. So when planning a trip to the Big Island I'd probably plan for at least 5 days to get the most out of your Big Island adventure.
